How I got a lifelong Republican to vote Dem. And you can too.

A good friend of mine grew up in the Midwest, and is still Midwestern even after being here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts for decades. Nice guy, but a lifelong Republican. Will readily admit that most of his party's gone nuts, but could never bring himself to vote for Democrats.
Last fall we were hanging out, and he was telling me how Scott Brown's GREAT because he's bipartisan, Warren's a Moonbat Lefty Harvard Professor, yadda, yadda, yadda... "Watch this!" I said as I popped onto YouTube, and pulled up a couple of videos of Not-Yet-Senator Warren reaming new orifices (orifi?) into Timmy Geithner, e.g.:
By the time the videos were done, Warren was a vote closer to her current job
It's been so many years since we've had FDR Democrats in office that people have forgotten what they do. Even folks in their 50s, like my buddy.
Virtually everyone knows that the banks are screwing the 99% with full bipartisan government help. There's bipartisan hatred for it among the 99%, bipartisan love for it among the 1%. Even Republicans, and certainly independents, have got to look at Warren going after these swine with both fists bared and think "@#$%, that's just what we need!".
Going into 2014 (thanks Will Pitt!) and beyond, I will make sure that I show as many Liz Warren beatdown videos to as many people that I can. Show 'em what an FDR Democrat is, and why they want one. I hope that you try it, too.

29. We need to become conservative and be proud of it
(Wait, dd aliens kidnap you)
Nope, not quite.
The way the two parties have evolved the GOP are a bunch of radicals...we are trying to conserve the safety net...ergo we are conservatives...in the classic Edmund Burke way.

Night, sweet dreams.
Here listening to the scanner, one of those nights...yes, work.
Has Nads even had an article posted on the online rag in a while?

I can get lifelong Republicans to think just like Democrats, too! All it takes is a massive amount of head trauma and a whole bunch of weed!
-
Truth is that he got the name of a republican off of his tombstone and voted democrat for him.

Going into 2014 (thanks Will Pitt!)? Why is frank's buddy thanking Wee Willie Shit? Is Wee Willie Shit allowing him to live until next year?
And JohnnyReb, I'd laugh and say "bazinga!" to your post, but you're probably 100% correct.

Proof that liberals are easily led.

Lies lies lies lies lies! I'm a lifelong Republican, I'm surrounded by lifelong Republicans in real life, and I only know 1 who went from being a Moderate Republican to a Dem kook, and she did because she retired and got involved in the environmental movement, and it's impossible to carry on a conversation with her.

Many of us started out as Dems and then moved out of our parents' house and got slapped in the fact by reality which brought on a transition to Conservative. I have never seen the transition go the other way and I am almost 50 years old.
-
Hmmm. So its easy to lead a conservative into hating freedom and embrace slavery under a socialist dictator.
:rotf: yeah right.

And as far as that person that I know goes? it was the 1st time I ever saw a Republican go Democrat, it's like this woman has turned into a zombie, but I'm sure she just called herself a Republican as opposed to actually being 1 for many years.
My Mom was the same way as you described, a Democrat her whole life, then she felt as a Religious woman that the Democrats were mocking her, she became a Republican about 8 years ago, she still has many Democrat ways and in her thinking, but she votes Republican.
-
If anyone can sit through a video of Fauxahontas and think she makes sense is not a republican.

I'll give it a shot. Here's one: FDR democrat Hugo Black, Klansman, senator from Alabama, nominated to the Supreme Court by the circus freak pervert FDR.
Here, for example, stood a man who never completed high school, never attended a liberal arts college, but who became one of the leading intellectuals of American jurisprudence.
Black was the author of the U.S. Supreme Court's opinion banning Christian prayers in America's public schools
And, finally, no one loved the South and its white people more deeply and was hated by them more vehemently than Hugo Black.

They're in cemetaries.

Every election time I always wonder why it is that people who were intelligent and decent and voted Republican all of their lives vote for the Democrat Party after they die. It finally dawned on me. After the body dies the body and brain ceases all function and begins to decay. In essence the physical body/brain does indeed become democrat after death.

I'm still trying to figure out why Manny is thanking Willie for "going into 2014". Are we sure that Willie is not one of frank's deep-cover moles?

Has to do with Wee Willie's rant on how they need to focus on 2014 not 2016.
-
No bushes. No gas stations. No parking lots. No Grocery stores. Nope. None of these thing are needed. All that is needed is a youtube video of a rant by Lieawatha going through the change of life.
Guaranteed to change even the most hardened conservatives mind and convert them to the moonbat party.

Makes sense for them. Don't focus on fixing what they've screwed up. Just focus on winning the next election so they can screw things up more. Have them DUmmies found anything, other than the opposite sex, that they're opposed to screwing <up>?
-
It's obvious that all Democrat voters are, at best, walking dead.

The problem is, they think their policies are working and if only the repukes would stop with their racist oppression of the black man, we could be just like they think Venezuela is. What they don't realize is, we are heading to how Venezuela truly is. :banghead:
I don't want to live in a country where the majority of the people live in poverty waiting for the next check from the government, and the ruling class can do what they want and have what they want. It isn't the poor and it isn't the rich who will get hurt by all this. It will be those of us who fall in the middle and work for every dime we have, who will be pushed into a life of poverty, as we are paying the bills for the poor and the ruling class, because we are stupid enough to continue to work and try to make our own way.

I've never seen anyone go Rep. to Dem either.
Ed Schultz is the only person I know that claims to have switched from (R) to (D). But the cynic in me thinks that he was just too putrid to get any airtime from a respectable blog or network, so he tacked way left to get MSNBC's attention. And it worked. His show gets almost as many viewers as a Gunsmoke episode on TVLand.

Me either, (R) to (I) like me, but never (R) to (D). Even the most liberal Republican I know, knows the Destruct-o-crats for who they are. She is more libertarian, anyway.

Dead giveaway. :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:

He was already dead.

Show 'em what an FDR Democrat is, and why they want one.
Here's another good example of an FDR democrat and it should come as no surprise that he was a Klansman--Harry Truman, failed hat salesman and FDR's vice president.
In 1911, the year he turned 27, Truman wrote to his future wife, Bess: "I think one man is just as good as another so long as he's honest and decent and not a ni**er or a Chinaman. Uncle Will says that the Lord made a white man from dust, a ni**er from mud, then He threw up what was left and it came down a Chinaman."
"(Uncle Will) does hate Chinese and Japs," Truman continued. "So do I. It is race prejudice, I guess. But I am strongly of the opinion Negroes ought to be in Africa, yellow men in Asia and white men in Europe and America."
More than 25 years later, Truman, then a U.S. senator from Missouri, wrote a letter to his daughter describing waiters at The White House as "an army of c**ns." In a letter to his wife in 1939 he referred to "ni**er picnic day."

And his wife Bess was no treasure either:
The dark side of Truman's attitude toward Jews was very much a family affair. In his book Confessions of a White House Ghostwriter, James Humes, who penned speeches for five presidents, related a little-known but highly revealing story he heard from the prominent impresario David Susskind.
Years after Truman left office, Susskind was working with the former president on a television documentary. Wrote Humes:
Susskind said that each morning he would arrive at Truman's house at Independence [Missouri]. He would wait on the porch on a cold February day while Mrs. Truman went to inform her husband of his arrival. After about the fourth morning, he asked the president in his walk why he was never asked inside.
"You're a Jew, David, and no Jew has ever been in the house."
A nonplussed Susskind replied, "I am amazed that you who recognized Israel and championed the integration of the army would say such a thing!"
"David," he explained, "this is not the White House - it's the Wallace [Bess Truman's maiden name] house. Bess runs it, and there's never been a Jew inside the house in her or her mother's lifetime."

Originally a Democrat, Arlen Specter became a Republican to run for Philadelphia District Attorney in 1965.

If repukes decide Lindsey Graham is too far to the left, then 0bamaites will hold the White House and the judiciary indefinitely.
A candidate to the right of Lindsey Graham has no chance of ever winning a national election.

I would argue that label applies to all politicians on the circuit today.
Actually; perhaps "without any" is too strong. I'd suggest "negotiable principles" - in that very little is actually set in stone and nearly all can change depending on how the winds are blowing at any one moment.
-
Not all of my dead Republican friends vote, but those who do vote Democrat.
