Rand Paul will FAIL, and America will WIN!
I like John Brennan. It takes a tough man to refuse to call waterboarding torture when so many on the Moonbat Left are whining about "human rights" and other impractical crap.
That's why I'm so upset that Rand Paul is filibustering this humble and decent man, on the pretense that executing Americans any time and any place is NOT the President's perogative.
Last time I checked, a President who can kill at will with zero accountability was a hallmark of the individual freedoms we cherish so dearly. Only by giving up our civil liberties can we have our civil liberties, of course. As every child learns in school:
War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
Even worse, some so-called Democrats *agree* with Paul on this! These traitors are nothing but Rand Paul enablers, they disgust me. Just like those so-called Democrats who agreed with his father that we shouldn't invade Iraq. Disgusting, all of them. I happen to know many elected Democrats who voted to attack Saddam JUST because the elder Paul was against it. All Democrats should learn from their courageous commitment.
Regards,
Third-Way Manny

I'm tired of the Libertarians infiltrating DU. Don't they have a forum of their own to spew their gall?

31. Actually manny is a pretty true liberal. The post is obvious
Scarcasm
It is a fair subject to debate

EOM.
No one has the right to be judge, jury and executioner. It seems Paul and those that supported him are the only ones with any balls.Well, there goes the U.S. military. Of course, if the Paultards had their way, there would be no U.S. military.

Ron Paul =/= Rand Paul. The only Paul not a crackpot was Les.

The next time Rand Paul is on TV, close your eyes and see if he doesn't sound exactly like David Koresh.
It's not what he's saying, but his voice, phrasing, and intonations are spooky. And of course they're both nuts.
Guess I'm not getting the whole "Rand Paul is a nut" deal. I know, let's stick to the uber Republican Lindsay Graham and John McCain. That's the plan to win back the White House!

Well his vote on Brennan will be the same as the others you mention. But hey at least Brennan Hagel and Kerry got the one true conservative to vote for them.
Not so fast!

I'm not getting this either. Rand is making a stand while McCain and Graham are dinning with the enemy instead of standing with Senator Paul.
Rand Paul just punched 0bama in the nose and he bled. That's not good for a god to bleed in front of the flock.
Good on Paul!
Rand Paul is not the "one true conservative."
That's his dad. I kid, I kid.
He did something I like. He's done more than any other R Senator. That filibuster is not negligible. It hasn't happened in years. Threatened, but not actually happened.
I don't think there is such a thing as a "one true conservative." All of them suck. All are just human. Just get the government off my back. Give me a strong military. Give states back the power accorded to them. Stop the taxatation madness.
Now this is just plain stupid;
Graham told reporters that he had planned to vote against Brennan's nomination but now intends to support the nominee because the confirmation fight has become a referendum on the drone program.
Fool me once shame on you fool me twice and I won't get fooled again.

Bullshit he was going to vote yes all along.
He's making a stand today and will vote to confirm tomorrow just like the ones who dined with 0bama will do.
Nothing is going to stop the conformation so why make it in to an issue?
Do you really need to ask that question?
The fact that the conservative hero of the day, voted for 0bama's pick bugs the hell out of me. I could have sworn that we voted for Republicans to try to stop 0bama, not rubber stamp his every move.

I am happy to see that Paul voted No on Brennan.
I'm happy that he did too. I still don't trust him though.

Don't visit the sins of the father on the son O-)
Has nothing to do with his dad it's his voting record that makes me not trust him
Don't visit the sins of the father on the son
I would like to think that his positions on things are "evolving".
