"The president had a truly disturbing habit of funnelling major foreign policy decisions through a small cabal of relatively inexperienced White House advisers whose turf was strictly politics," Mr Nasr writes in The Dispensable Nation: America Foreign policy in Retreat.

Quote
Admiral Mike Mullen, who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff until September 2011, is quoted lamenting how little support Mrs Clinton received from the White House, even though she remained on good personal terms with Mr Obama.

I can't believe the media and others in government letting him get away with everything he does.

He gives billions to his friends (you know he's padding his own pockets with this money somewhere).  Maybe not in his name, but being held for him in some off shore account for later use.

I love reading about these knee-jerk decisions made by the Barry Gang and how, when they bring in senior statesmen like Holbrook, they quickly find out just how ****ed up their thinking is.

They shuffle off people like Holbrook to obscurity (while being paid big consultant bucks) because they don't like the message they're hearing.

Arrogance doesn't even begin to cover it.
