'We are above the law of the land'
Muslim leader's stunning claim at Texas rally for Islam

Muslims living in America should not be bound by U.S. law, according to a leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, who delivered the controversial message to a crowd at a Muslim rally in Austin, Texas.
“If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land,†said Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch.
The rally in Austin was part of a nationwide effort to hold “Muslim Capitol Day†events.
According to the event website, Muslims from around Texas went to the capitol to “promote civic and political activism throughout the wider Muslim community.â€
The organizers said one major issue discussed “was the recent House and Senate bill proposals involving the implementation of ‘anti-Shariah’ legislation, where the First Amendment rights and freedoms of Muslims would ultimately be hindered.â€
Critics argue Shariah prohibits other faiths from free exercise of religion when enforced, giving freedom only to Muslims.
Carroll’s statement was similar to a statement allegedly made by CAIR co-founder and former chairman Omar M. Ahmad. He was paraphrased by a reporter saying, “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant†and the Quran “should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.â€
Carroll began joking about the widespread concern about Shariah, the religious code that governs Muslim civil and political life.
“We tried to downplay Shariah, because we didn’t want to give the other side any excitement for being here,†he said.
He dismissed critics who express concern about Shariah, calling them “anti-foreign.â€

In my opinion it is.

we are currently letting one live in the White House rent free.

I was commenting to somebody else yesterday, that if this rally had happened anywhere in Texas other than Austin, Texans would have clogged the damned channels calling in for artillery support.

This is going to earn me a bitchslap or two...Like that ever stopped me before... :whistling:
When points of my faith are opposed to points of law--the forcing of Birth control and abortion funding on fundamentally Catholic institutions, or even businesses run by people of strong faith, then I say screw the earthly law. I can honestly say that in some things, my faith is more important than the law of the land.
That being said...my faith does not require me to spread the joy of God with the sword. I'm not required to force women to wear modest clothing. My faith tells me to be in the world but not of the world.
The examples I provided above, of course, do not require forcing others into my way of thinking. We Catholics hardly ever use thumb screws or boiling pitch to convert anymore. O-)

It's more than insane. It's batshit crazy.

I just don't understand how these people get away with this B-S.
That is called, "a Caliphate".
What Do the Terrorists Want? [A Caliphate]
In nearly all cases, the jihadi terrorists have a patently self-evident ambition: to establish a world dominated by Muslims, Islam, and Islamic law, the Shari'a. Or, again to cite the Daily Telegraph, their "real project is the extension of the Islamic territory across the globe, and the establishment of a worldwide 'caliphate' founded on Shari'a law."

CAIR: Islamists Fooling the Establishment
Steven Pomerantz, the FBI's former chief of counterterrorism, notes that "CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups."

If Muslims and leftists want Sharia law, wouldn't the left be first to be targeted through Sharia? :fuelfire:

What if they get their communist dream? They would have to share the workload and not get a choice about it either.

No they wouldn't. They're ****ed on that as well. It is something of a tradition now, that when tin-pot communist dick tasters taters get into power, the first thing they do is pose the radical agitators that put them in the center seat for rifle fire. That way they can't be agitating for a replacement when this dick tater's success in implementing communist utopia is no better than any other tin-pot communist dick tater's record for implementing communist utopia.

Yes we would have.

If the muzzies think they are above the law, then they need to be beneath the grass and a slab of granite.
