Thomas Jefferson is considered to be the founder of the Democrat Party.
How can his views be so different from yours? Talk to me DU.

Let me just add that not only was Thomas Jefferson, accused by many of fathering a child with his maid, considered founder of the Democrat party, Jeffeson Davis was a Democrat before becoming the President of the Confedercy.  How 'bout them apples?   :yahoo:
