Title: DUmmies Discuss Medications
Post by: GOBUCKS on February 23, 2013, 09:39:15 PM
This is an old, old thread that recently popped back to the top. Don't remember if it was posted last summer.

Anyway, it's an entertaining peek into the staggering volume of medications we buy for the DUmbasses:

Damn, I take a lot of pills!

I've picked up a lot scripts over the years for various chronic conditons, and added Vitamin D, Fish oil, calcium etc. I look like a hypochondriac, but I'm feeling a lot better! I notice if I forget one pill or another. Thank heavens for super size pill of the day boxes, though!

2. Sometimes I crack the calcium pills in half to get them down.
I have you beat - I'm up to 30 pills - (10 medications, some with multiple pills!)

You have a way to go. I get 21-27 prescriptions per month and I never counted how many pills but I take them at 5 different times a day because of interactions.

Poor addled DUmmy grasswipe snorted an entire tablet. All DUmmies know to crush the tablet first, but not grasswipe.
She's a "special needs" DUmmy. Lacking snow, she goes to the barbershop and makes hair angels.

5. beware
Last year I inhaled a magnesium tablet. It was a pill that always was tacky, and would stick. In trying to cough it up, I INHALED it. Had to go to ER. Cost a lot of $

7. I'm at...29
One medication I take is a daily dose of 19, plus I take 4 of another, and then 1-2 of some others.

How are these people not dead?  That's a lot of pills to take per day.  I have no prescriptions.  Just take a daily multi-vitamin and some biotin.

They revel in misery and wallow in filth.

Their species is beneath contempt.

I see it every day.

I swear to God that some of these people spend every day at the doctors office or the ER.

I guess that is how they get out of the house to meet people, their social life is medical waiting rooms.

They sell, share and trade the pain medication.

Pain management doctors give patients random drug tests to make sure they are actually taking the pain pills and they often come up negative.

You aren't kidding.  We got tens of millions of zombies running around, and in most cases we're supporting them.

And the perpetually ailing DUmmy mopinko:

It's no wonder that since I've known her--about nine years now--she's doubled her weight.

Not being a scientist or a medical professional, I have no idea why this is, but it does seem to me people on multiple medications pack on the pounds, and I'm not talking about just a couple dozen or so pounds.

Some of the medication is necessary, especially for those with complicated health issues.

I simply don't understand how one person needs over 1000 pain pills a month, when they don't have a job to cause any pain.  :fuelfire: These are often young people, and often I read their names in the obituaries.

This is not an exaggeration. I could cite many examples of patients on dangerous combinations of medications and the taxpayer is paying for every dose.

I've never denied that, but these are primitives we're talking about here.

With primitives, some life-style changes and attitude adjustments would eliminate the need for so many pharmaceuticals, but since they're primitives, it's easier to take some pills instead.

<<< Takes a daily multivitamin and occasionally Ibuprofen for back pains.   I've only had temporary prescriptions, meaning no refills,  for pain pills or muscle relaxants for back pain.

It's funny how the DUmmies all claim to be going hungry in the 0conomy, yet they all have a belly full of pills.

It's funny how the DUmmies all claim to be going hungry in the 0conomy, yet they all have a belly full of pills.

Well, we pay for most of those pills, so that's different.

We pay for them either through our taxes or through our insurance premiums, both which constantly increase because the primitives have the attitude that, "well, somebody else is paying for it."

Never a suggestion from a primitive that a primitive should at least help pay part of his own expenses.

Hell, they even bitch about $10 co-payments.  It's their ten bucks after all, and they'd rather spend it on something else.

And then there's the pie-and-jam primitive, the grasswire primitive, bragging about an expensive emergency room trip; the pie-and-jam primitive's probably on Medicare, and so we paid for that too, not her.

It seems a badge of honor among the primitives--the subway cat being the best example--to point out, and brag, how much they cost the rest of us.  It's like, "I'm a valuable person--look how much money society has to spend to preserve me."

Bah humbug.

This is probably a minority opinion, but the sooner we run out of money, the better.  I can't wait.

 :argh:

These people and ones like them are what's wrong with our medical system.  We will never get costs down in this country because of them.  They want everything fixed with a procedure or a pill.  I've even heard people complain that their doctor wouldn't order another CT or MRI (because they'd just had one and there was no change).  Telling them that those do nothing to improve their condition does no good.  Some things aren't fixable, and others aren't fixable through meds.

Sure some unfortunate souls need a plethora of meds.  I would guess that most do not.

Because it's s-o-o-o-o-o much easier just to take a pill, rather than to embark upon some substantitive life-style changes and habits.

If some of these DUmmies are gay, then they may be taking so many drugs to fight the effects of their lifestyle choices (AIDS).

Well, a blood pressure pill and a cholesterol pill every day beats falling over dead, but no one needs thirty of them.
