Title: primitives try to unite and break their chains
Post by: Billiam Pitts on February 22, 2013, 07:21:46 AM
the stevenleser commisar has started a thread because he prefers the gestapo Mod system over the the DU3 STASI system. Some primitives have come to realize that $kammer is fleecing the plantation and they are demanding payment for services rendered. Le Taz Hot to be disappeared soon.

META thread "I think the Mod system was better. Too many arguments are allowed to go too far"

9. They would need to pay moderators

Not expect people to labor without pay.

14. I agree

Skinner and the other admins might consider a reasonable fee or just giving free permanent memberships to people who do moderation. The site just feels very infiltrated by the right wing now.

16. Disagree.

The Hosting system is SOMEWHAT subjective but the Mod system was COMPLETELY subjective. Mods were almost exclusively chosen from the sell-out wing of the Democratic Party and during EVERY election cycle, progressive threads were regularly locked and posts were deleted. Ultimately, MANY really good progressives have been tombstoned thanks to the overzealous Mods. Meanwhile, the Party Faithful could throw around some of the most heinous name-calling and . . . nothing from the Mods.

The Mods were chosen by the Administrators who are Third-Way Democrats themselves and tended to choose only those who agreed with them politically. The Hosts just sign up and are called up when a slot opens up. No weeding out "undesirables."

And before anyone makes assumptions (a popular past time on DU), no, I never applied for a Moderator position.

Oh now, the tasseled primitive is spewing garbage.

I always found the moderators on the old DU to be paragons of impartiality and fairness.

The cbayer primitive was the stellar example.

I totally agree bring back the Bayer Aspirin aka Cbayer the thread slayer.  A sure cure for any thread which gave you a headache.

I think the Mod system was better. Too many arguments are allowed to go too far

Many DUers do not know what terms are insensitive to various discriminated against groups and do not know enough to hide them.

The arguments that are allowed to go too far cause a lot of ill will among DUers. Arguments that would have been shut down after the first or second comments progress and progress to where people are just viciously attacking each other repeatedly and across threads. I think the jury system is slowly but surely wrecking the sense of community at DU.

I cannot imagine what a Democratic Presidential primary is going to be like with the jury system as opposed to the Mod system. We're already starting to see the beginning and it is years away and it is easy to see that it is going to be much worse than last time.

Boy, that was a lot of words to say this: Liberals are too stupid to run a democracy.

4. People are posting "******" in this forum. Not "the n word," flat out ******

And jurors are letting them. And I think the only thing worse is the constant refrain from those who have staked their reputations on the concept that "racism isn't allowed but everything else is okay." Yes, that must be why this site is absolutely DELUGED with black, Asian, Hispanic, Indian, and Middle Eastern posters.

Maybe it is time to bring back the mods.

And after considering what they wrote, an edit...

Self deleting it all

A slight addendum:

Boy, that was a lot of words to say this: Liberals are too stupid/lazy/self-centered/unanchored/capricous/petty/vindictive/undisciplined to run a democracy.

Riiiiight.  My first reaction was that Taz is now officially on CBayer-the-Thread-Slayer's death list.

Now there's a brain-dead DUmmy for you.

cbayer the thread slayer would send Skimmer part of her welfare check to be allowed back on as a moderator.

Skimmer loves the current system, living as an absent slumlord and allowing all the DUmp bickering to be handled by the DUmmy/mole juries.

If algore got a billion for his unwatched TV station, then Skimmer is sitting on at least a few hundred million.

Why would a man of such means involve himself with a crazy dwarf and a puking Boston drunkard?

Many months back when they switched to this jury format, somebody here called it, just like it is beginning to turn out.  Anybody have the old switch over to jury thread?

They all wanted to, many were desperate to. Like good little fascists they wanted to get their grubby paws on the power to rule their fellow DUmmies lives...as conservatives we don't much care what other folk get up to, that's their freedom, but leftists don't like freedom and love control and domination.

They should hire mods and pay their 0bamaCare costs.
