Christie: ‘I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo’
Albany Times-Union
This week’s edition of the Glens Falls Chronicle features an interview with Larry Bulman, former Saratoga County Democratic chairman and a South Glens Falls native who, in his new job as political director for the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Steamfitters recently got 90 minutes of face time with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
The conservative Republican called in Bulman to thank him for a donation the union made to Sandy relief efforts in the state, and they chatted about where Christie likes to eat near Lake George as well as his neighboring governor, Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
said when he told Mr. Christie he is from upstate New York, “he said, ‘I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo. I probably agree with him on 98% of the issues.’ †Mr. Bulman said Gov. Christie “sees value in the building trades, which are private sector unions. He complimented us and said he uses us as an example of a pro-business union.â€
Mr. Bulman, asked if he thinks Gov. Christie will run for president, said, “I don’t know, but he talked about Israel, and he wanted to make sure we knew he had been traveling abroad.â€
I would go so fare as to say he's twice the man Andrew Cuomo will ever be...

8. UPDATE - Chris Christie denies saying he agrees with Andrew Cuomo on 98 percent of the issues
New York Daily News:
ulman said that when he told Christie he is from upstate New York, the conservative governor replied: “I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo. I probably agree with him on 98 percent of the issues.â€
That claim raised eyebrows, given Cuomo’s liberal leadership on issues like gay marriage and gun control.
But during a press conference on Tuesday, Christie said he was misunderstood.
"What I said was that Governor Cuomo and I were raised in very much the same kind of households. Governor Cuomo was raised by a Sicilian mother and so was I. And so that a lot of our values are the same," Christie said. "I don’t ever remember saying anything like I agree with him 98 percent of the time because I don’t. So I’m sure I didn’t say that."
Uh, huh. I suspect the retraction will lack authenticity in some quarters.
Yeah I still don't trust him. If he does run in 2016 he will probably agree with the dem positions by at least 98% since that is what the GOP thinks will win them elections now.

Anybody here still think Christie is viable on a national level?
Yeah, me neither.

Chris Christie is a real flake.

Chris Christie is a real flake.
But he's the typical "establishment RINO" that gets shoved down our throats time and again.
No more!
