President Obama acknowledged that his preferred climate change policies make energy “a little more expensive,†but he suggested that the initial cost is worth the long-term reward of lowering carbon emissions.
“I have to tell you that there are some Democrats, for example, who represent states or districts that are heavily reliant on old power plants and are more heavily manufacturing based,†Obama said during his Google+ hangout on Friday. “And the truth is that if you produce power using old power plants, you’re going to be emitting more carbon, but, to upgrade those plants means energy is going to be a little more expensive, at least on the front end.â€
The remark evokes a comment made about gas prices made by Outgoing Energy Secretary Steven Chu . “We have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,†Chu said in 2008.

I am pretty sure he said in The State of the Union address our homes energy bills have dropped.
Hold on...
Yep!
After years of talking about it, we are finally poised to control our own energy future. We produce more oil at home than we have in 15 years. We have doubled the distance our cars will go on a gallon of gas, and the amount of renewable energy we generate from sources like wind and solar – with tens of thousands of good, American jobs to show for it. We produce more natural gas than ever before – and nearly everyone’s energy bill is lower because of it. And over the last four years, our emissions of the dangerous carbon pollution that threatens our planet have actually fallen.

Like I said before the middle class can't stand any more of his help.
With his help we have suffered stagnant wages if we actually can find a job that pays decent money, energy bills have necessarily skyrocketed, we have less take home pay, food prices keep going up, and now he wants to make our already high energy bills just a little more expensive. :banghead:
What really pisses me off is how the low information voters are living through this yet not one iota is 0bama's fault. They see him as the one who is trying to fix it but those evil repukes keep fighting him. The same people that acted like Bush brought us the great depression part 2 are the ones who won't blame anything on 0bama. :banghead: :banghead:

:bird: **** you obama and the Kenyan donkey you rode in on. You, as president are supposed to make the U.S. and it's citizens prosper, not make our lives more difficult and costly. :bird:
If you are so worried about climate change, then stop using Air Force One as if it is your personal taxi cab, transporting you all over the globe just to play golf.

We can't eat as much as we want, drive our SUVs, and set our thermostats on 72 degrees year round.
