Title: Bob Barr on Glenn Beck Show tonight
Post by: RGSG99 on June 06, 2008, 09:58:38 AM
I can't remember who was asking about Bob Barr but I told them I would let them know when he would be on the Glenn Beck show again.  He will be on Glenn's TV show tonight.

At this point, he's looking more palatable that anybody else running.

He's got me SERIOUSLY considering him. Too bad we can't get more true conservatives to consider him. I sure liked what he had to say on the issues.

I won't vote for an ACLU-supporting, and ACLU-employed moron.

Maybe you people who like him should do a little more research. "This" Georgian" knows all about that ****er.

Barr collaborated with the ACLU on the issue of data privacy rights.  He does not agree with the ACLU on several issues.  I happen to agree with him on the issue of privacy rights.

Why are people considered fools for agreeing with Bob Barr on his issues?

I watched most of it. I liked his stance on the deficit and immigration but his isolationist views and pulling out of Iraq turn me off.

Just ignore it.  I think that W.E. is trying to act like gator over at CU. Either that or he is messing around and forgot to tell Rebel.  People are antsy about third party candidates because of an huge Ronbot invasion at CU.

I am too.  I promised myself I would never vote 3rd party again after 1992 but when the choice is between two Democrats and both doing things that endanger the country, I might have to go back on that promise.

We have a full fledged socialist running as a Democrat (which I guess is kind of normal) and a liberal Democrat running as a Republican so I guess it makes sense a Republican is running as a Libertarian.

Nobody is who they are these days. Dostoevsky wrote about the day all the masks would fall but that day hasn't happened yet.

I am not in love with the situation but I would rather have a good choice while looking for a more perfect one.

Plus I am off the hook because my mom who has always voted Democratic, is voting for McCainez 'cause she doesn't trust Obama. It is kind of win/win because she still gets to vote for a Democrat and I can not go against my core by voting for one.

At least he hasn't bought into the "Global Warming" myth!!! McCain ain't looking good with his McCain/ Feingold bill that usurps the 1st Amendment, not to mention his newest endeavour on the CAP & Trade bill. McCain is also very lame on illegal immigration and gun rights. While I'd choose him over Obama, Barr still looks good to me, even with his more isolationist views. He DID say that he wouldn't just pull out of Iraq and that he'd take the time to WIN that effort. His ACLU ties may be a bit bothersome, but at least he STILL believes in the Constitution, as written !! Am I a "Barrbot", Hell NAW.

Same here. I was shaking my head in agreement until he was talking about revoking the Patriot Act and leaving Iraq. Then I turned Beck off for the Sox game.

Thor, I think - unless they've been living in a cave for the first part of this year or so - that the real, true conservatives ARE considering him.  They're going through the same mental debate that you and I are wrestling with in the backs of our minds.
