The current status of Connecticut, briefly

after which a map of Connecticut with a CLOSED sign superimposed

That's odd, because according to the latest weather maps, Connecticut's clear and sunny now, the snow having moved on.

2. There's a travel ban, so nobody's going ANYWHERE

There's 2 feet of snow on the street in front of my house. Lord knows when the city will get around to plowing. I live on a dead-end street.

6. Travel ban is BS

Very early this morning about 6:30-7, today on the news, reporters in Hartford were showing pictures. Snow was DEEP then.

Last I heard on TV this morning, CT and MA had about 24-30" in most places.

Found this....

When the snow finally stopped Saturday afternoon, cities and towns reported eye-popping snow totals — 38 inches in Milford, Conn., and 34 inches in New Haven. Portland, Maine, got almost 32 inches, breaking its record.

Boston reported a hair under 25 inches, placing the storm in that city’s five-worst on record. Concord, N.H., reported 2 feet. Central Park in New York — by afternoon a sledder’s paradise — reported 11.4 inches.
