Hagel Vote Postponed
Financial concerns, lack of disclosures hold up Hagel vote
The Senate Armed Services Committee will not hold a vote Thursday on the confirmation of secretary of defense nominee Chuck Hagel, according to reports.
“Hagel vote won’t be tomorrow in Armed Services,†Politico’s Manu Raju tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “Levin: “The committee’s review of the nomination is not yet complete.’â€
Hagel’s murky financial entanglements are a major concern in the delay, according to sources close to the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC). Also of concern is a committee investigation into how Hagel and his Senate office handled a 2007 sexual harassment allegation made by a former staff member.....
Well, too bad for Chuck.
But we each make our own destiny.

They could be waiting for Friday, and vote then. This is the kind of stuff that just gets "overlooked" by the MSM over the weekend.
Juan McLame has already said he would vote for cloture should it come to a filibuster, which he also doesn't recommend. Favors a straight up and down vote.
Which is basically just caving in and allowing ****tard Hagel into the E-Ring.
Can anybody say, and keep repeating after me, hollow military?

If Hagel doesn't get confirmed I will donate $10 to CC.

Let's make it interesting. Make it $15.

Too rich for my blood. I'm out.

Well, the score from Nebraska, concerning our former senator:
Michael Johanns (R) probably will support.
Deborah Fischer (R) says "no way."
-
The delay is a ploy to provide more time to lobby any and all wavering or iffy Senate support for him, it has jack to do with the stated reasons.

Cheapass.
I didn't get a big raise like some folks.

Do you think I'm a one percenter? I can't afford that!

Secret Hagel Donor?: White House Spox Ducks Question on 'Friends of Hamas'
On Thursday, Senate sources told Breitbart News exclusively that they have been informed that one of the reasons that President Barack Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, has not turned over requested documents on his sources of foreign funding is that one of the names listed is a group purportedly called “Friends of Hamas.â€

There has been a rash of that going on lately. Google was alerting on lots of conservative sites and in at least a couple of places the alerts were caused by ads that Google Adsense had placed on the sites.
Some think there may be a hidden agenda by liberal companies to block conservative sites. If there is something on Breitbart, it's probably an ad.
