He's wimpophobia like every Democrat since Kennedy. He doesn't want to come across as a dove or soft on terror. Even though Al Queda now only consists of a five year old and a blind guy with a pocketknife - our country is still in that state of fear.
I blame him, yes. He should know better. But it is no surprise why.
Seriously, the biggest threat to the USA right now is our Military Industrial Complex.
You don't go against them. If you do, you end up like a Kennedy. Not here to argue conspiracy theories, but the MIC wanted them (JFK and RFK) out. Whether or not they took them out is irrelevant - when they want you out they will remove you. Just ask Henry Agard Wallace who was dropped unceremoniously after advocating a peacetime America (again, none of this is conspiracy theory - this is all well documented in the annals of US History)
A president alone won't stop the MIC.
A congress and president won't stop the MIC.
There are only two things that can stop them: (1) complete insolvency by the US government and (2) complete insolvency of the MIC.
So what is it going to be?

We can hate the policy without hating the person.
But I guess that would go for Bushinc too, which is difficult.

Obama is just keeping himself off their shit list
Bush: warrantless wiretaps = foaming at the mouth outrage. Obama: drone kills American citizens = welllll, he has to do it, i understand. Besides, those mean ole repugs forced him to do it.

It seems to be more CIA territory rather than an overly bloated military's territory.

What a disappointment Taverner has become. Couple years ago, he was a lovable goofball. I'd vote for him at our year-end ceremonies. He's a crashing bore now. Thread after thread, trying to be a "feminist." The real ones are tiresome enough. More threads about "anarcho-syndicalism" and bullshit like that. :yawn:

He made a great comparison. Obama and the Dems where against torture, especially when Bush was in office, but they aren't against killing Americans. Makes sense uh DUmmies?

For all their crying about the MIC and it controlling the government, they forget that almost all contractors with military employ union labor. When the MIC dies so do the unions that drain it.

Bill O'Reilly is a pompous ass, and it's sickening to say the sand rats blown up by drones were Americans.
They may have been born here but they sure weren't Americans, and killing them is about the only thing the Kenyan has gotten right.
