In many states...
It is easier to buy a gun than to be eligible to vote.
The same people who do not trust the eager voter will gladly allow a gun to be sold.
Now both activities, buying and owning a gun and the ability to vote, are in the constitution. But in many states you are allowed to buy a gun with no id, no background check and yet these same states do whatever it takes to stop certain parts of the population from voting.
Think about that.
Where in the Constitution are we guaranteed the right to vote?
The Founders would have been horrified at the thought of universal suffrage, just as they would have been horrified at the thought of gun control legislation.
Incidentally, DUmmy WCGreen, the Cleveland wardheeler, is at the very top of most 2013 DUmp Dead Pools.

Really? I didn't realize you had to go through a background check by the police and wait 5 days before being allowed to vote.
Did I miss something?

Voting used to take only one day, too.

I suppose some could consider it a late-term abortion necessary to save the mother-nation's life.

There are a lot of check boxes on form 4473 that would seem to disprove that statement.

I wish I'd saved it, but a DUmmy recently asked how something that can't live on its own have a right to life? There's our excuse, right there.

A "oh snap!" if I ever heard one.

Name one, DUmmies. Name one. Psst--I live in a state with a Brady Score of 6. I'm still required to undergo a background check to buy a handgun, which also required photo ID. Granted, once I passed my check (which took all of 10 minutes) I get to take my weapon home that day, but no, it's harder to buy a gun than vote, especially if you're a liberal hippie douchebag college student.

It's in the liberal fantasy appendix, right next to the pre-eminence of the right to abortion over everything else ever conceived, and the line that states that the main text doesn't mean what is written but only means what liberals want it to mean.

Huh?
You mean why do I not trust illegal Somalians bused into non-resident precincts?
Gee, I don't know.

ZyKlon-B is more efficient, but I denounce myself. It would actually be a mercy killing.

That's part of a great CalPig poem, a classic, that she wrote and then posted as her husband lay possibly dying of a heart attack, and EMTs were just arriving.
Well, hell, she never took CPR.
I don't have a link, but if anyone has it please post.

DUmmies only run through Super Wal Mart with their EBT card.

The 4473, Brady check and ID are only needed if buying from an FFL. A transfer between private individuals, for the most part is cash and carry.
In TN, it's for both Handguns and long guns. In MI, It's for long guns only.

Able to leap Big Savings in a single bound -- It's Super Walmart!!!!!

I know to which one you're referring, but can't find it. This however is close.
"kidney stone love"

in which the CalPig pays poetic tribute to her husband's kidney stones.

^^^that's from March 2010; I think the emergency room-heart attack thread was shortly before then, but damn, I can't find it.

The idiot has to be roping in all private sales, gifts, and inheritances of guns in addition to actual retail sales in order to be able to say that.

To my knowledge, both Mr CalPig and the remainder of his aching seed are still with us, and yoked with the poetess.
The CalPigs vacationed in Iceland last summer.

Maybe Iceland eased his aching seed then. Unless vomiting helps you guys out with that; I suspect waking up to CalPig would unman any non-Dummy.

C-I-L-L my landlord!
Or something like that.
