Oh my.
This is from that "shoot everybody who's carrying a gun" campfire that got the Whovian primitive mausoleumed. It's a very very very big campfire, plenty of material in it.

312. I am so happy to live in a state with strict gun laws. Apparently, we held out....long enough for the country to finally wake up to this gun bull shit. I hope I never see the day when someone walks around my town with a gun unless they are in law enforcement or their hunting rifle is locked in a case and being carried from their house to their car and out of here. "No carry" is just fine with me. Keep your gun in your house if you can even get a license.
I spent many years working and living in South America, Northern Ireland and Cyprus during dangerous times. Why would I now want to live in a country that acts and lives like the 3rd world?
<<<one wonders what the homicide rate, the crime rate, is in the walking primitive's state, whatever state that is.

332. I live in a state with virtually no gun laws and I've never felt even a little bit threatened
It's one of the safest states in the country. You don't need a license for concealed carry. 16 year olds can buy guns. The use of guns in crimes here is way low. The murder rate is very low. Not saying I wouldn't like to see stricter gun control, but Vermont just isn't a hot bed of gun crime despite having the laxest gun laws in the country.

333. You live in a state that barely has a year round pupulation. It's a ridiculous comparison.
It's one of the most homogenous states in the nation as well. I doubt if your low crime rate has anything to do with your guns. You just have to drive for miles to find anyone to shoot. If you feel safer with a gun despite the statistical evidence....fine!
I used to vacation in Vermont but I won't bother going back if everybody is toting AK47s and proud of it! Sounds like the place has gone down hill.

338. OK. Love how you assume I have a gun. I don't.
and I don't even know where my door key is. Haven't locked my door in over 20 years. Nor did I say that people walk around toting AK47s. And did you notice that I advocated more gun control for my state? Oh, and no Vermont hasn't gone down hill. We've become more Progressive. And people here are pretty darn wonderful and helping. Don't want to come here? That's fine. Lord knows we have too many tourists anyway. We're in danger of becoming some cute little New England theme park.

While she was out of the USA, why didn't she stay there?......did they all deport her or something?

I love it when they :catfight:

Yeah, like Chicago. Nothing but peace and tranquility. :whatever:

Though in defense ogf Vermont, it is a pretty state, though 75% of it is farmland.

It's quaint. They just love it when you call it that.
I wonder, do cows still outnumber people in VT? Once home to the Green Mountain Boys led by Ethan Allen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Mountain_Boys), VT was overtaken by a bunch of 'fancy boys' and other New Jerkers many years ago.
Kind of sad really. New York won in the end and Ethan must be rolling in his grave.

Wouldn't this be one of those "in spite of the guns" moments DUmmie? I mean here is a state with virtually no gun laws that has a very low gun crime stat. How does one explain that if it is in fact the guns causing the crime?

I have to say it:

2005 (total population)
White 97.95%
Black 0.89%
Hispanic 1.03%
Are we ever going to have an honest conversation about crime and what race and dependency have to do with it?
There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.... After all we have been through. Just to think we can't walk down our own streets, how humiliating. Jesse Jackson

The primitives forget; there's a multitude of other factors that infuence the way a place is; in fact, there's probably an infinite number of factors that determine one single thing.
In this county, there's probably four or six firearms per capita.....but on the other hand, there's a lack of crime. Crime of any nature, abetted or not abetted with firearms.
It probably has something to do with social stability, respect for others and the law, moral values, &c., &c., &c.
The list can be endless as to why it is the way it is.

It can be summed up in the presence (or the lack of the presence) of three letters:

If the jug-eared Kenyan had a son, he would not look like a Vermonter.
He'd be shooting another 0bamaite in Chicago.

Yes ma'am it is time. The problem is how they want to bend the argument(s). They simply want to claim the reason you have more minorities 'committing' the crime is because they are the only ones the police actually go after then later prosecute. These people actually believe a cop will walk past a white person committing a serious crime to arrest a minority for jay walking or spitting on the ground.
How do you propose you argue against that?
