Story at link. But this is the gist of it. Daily Mail is a Brit publication, and this story is about the British National Health Service handing over all confidential records to the govt.
---There was no debate or vote in Parliament that I can tell. This was just a govt decree.

Why do you think that there is such a big government push to get doctors to convert to digital medical records here?

Setting the stage for exactly this sort of thing.
