Test your self-compassion level

http://www.self-compassion.org/test-your-self-compassion-level.html

Note that this is NOT a personality test. Of course, as we are used to compare ourselves with others, we can start from thinking, that if I score high on self-compassion level, I'm better than others, whoopee, suck that suckers! Or if I score low, I'm just lowly worm with no self-worth and no worth as human being, so I'll go buy more depression pills from Big Pharma or a gun to shoot my self-hating brains out...

We can let go of that thought, and just take the test as discussion with ourselves, about our current state of mind and habitual attitudes. It's just a test of me with myself at this moment. Taking the test hour or day or week later, I can and may answer differently. This is not my personality, just my current state of mind and how I self-reflect at this moment.

Only two primitives at the campfire, not enough for a meaningful sample.

However, franksolich checked his compassion.

Score interpretations:
Average overall self-compassion scores tend to be around 3.0 on the 1-5 scale, so you can interpret your overall score accordingly. As a rough guide, a score of 1-2.5 for your overall self-compassion score indicates you are low in self-compassion, 2.5-3.5 indicates you are moderate, and 3.5-5.0 means you are high.

What a bizarre test.

"I'm tolerant of my own flaws and inadequacies"??? I try to learn them so that I can improve and better myself.

Even if the test was accurate I'm sure it depends on honesty in answering the questions. As the DUmp can not be honest in any other area I really doubt they would be honest answering the questions to this test. With this in mind, any scores that they do end up posting should probably be inverted.

I answered the way a common primitive would answer.

Quote from:
Self-Kindness: 1.00
Self-Judgment: 4.20
Common Humanity: 1.00
Isolation: 5.00
Mindfulness: 1.00
Over-Identification: 5.00
Overall score: 1.13

Judgemental, living in isolation, completely self-absorbed, and without common humanity.  Fits the primitives to a "T."

Oh, I get it now, high in self-compassion.  I guess that means that I can count on me to pick myself up when I get knocked down, or something--not that I was high when I took the test.

I would never subject myself to a 'self-compassion' test based on criteria I knew nothing about?

a) yes, it is important for me to adjudge my ability to bleed for myself as well as others even if I do not understand the criteria. Ph.Ds are my betters.
b) no, but I promise to feel bad about it
c) hell no, never
d) Joooooos!
e) Maybe, if I was bored, just for kicks, and Downton Abbey was the only thing on TV
f) None of the answer choices grammatically match the question

I refuse to turn Javascript on just to take a test to find out how nice I am!

DUmmies are always looking for ways to prove they're smarter than the average bear.  It never works.

No your not.  It means you don't sit around in your basement feeling sorry for yourself.    :-)

I couldn't make it through the test, too many stupid type questions.  I accept myself as I am and hope people do that too.  If not, screw 'm.
