Gonna have to seriously rethink my donations to them during the CFC next year.

Inititally I thought: they don't want to be seen endorsing a particular religion because someone might complain.

But then I thought: the only people who make such complaints are liberals and they hate all American warriors, wounded or otherwise.

With the vast amount of airtime they use for fundraisning, it amazes me that they can even meet the CFC requirement of spending less than 25% of their gross on administration and overhead.

With their TV air time, I have questions, too. Also with several animal cruelty ads.

Baffling to say the least.
I hope WWP takes the time to explain the reasoning behind the action.
(May not hold the breath)

I am so sick of their long-winded and tear-jerking commercials that I will never again donate anything to them.

They don't need the support of gun owners either:

Email exchange between WWP and Tom Gresham Gun Talk Radio Show (https://www.facebook.com/notes/gun-talk/wounded-warrior-project-email-exchange/10151354082553313)

Unbelievable. They're tying firearms to suicide and drug/alcohol abuse.

They must be rolling in $$.

**** 'em. That'll be the last dollar I donate to their asses.

They won't see a dime from me.

I will be using the contact button on their website to inform them of why.

Thunder Ranch looked into this and they have stopped donating to WWP as well. As soon as I read the post on Facebook coming from the owners of TR I said that I will not give to WWP .

Well, I'm done.
Seen too many good outfits with good intentions being highjacked by liberals for their own use.
What a damn shame.
I'm done.

I guess they did not need the 50K the church was trying to raise......I can't write them a check for 50k....so I am also done donating to them.....they must not need the money. They can kiss my conservative ass that believes in religious freedom.

Quote
Kindergarten teacher Tanya Sue Albritton posted a message on the Wounded Warrior Project Facebook page, explaining that her students were devastated.

“They were very sad,” she wrote. One little girl wanted to know, ‘Why can’t we share with the soldiers?’”

“I was at a loss as to what I should tell her because I don’t understand it myself…Well, WWP, why can’t we share with the soldiers,” she added.

In delivering the news to his congregation, Pastor Cooley penned what he described as “one of the saddest letters I have ever had to write”:

“We are very disappointed that we, as a religious organization, are being discriminated against. But they are a private organization and have and should have the freedom to make their own rules.”

Their logo is plastered all over Under Armor shirts at the PX hell I've got a CamelBak cup with the WWP logo on it I bought at AUSA in 2008.

Makes me wanna toss it in the trash bin now.

And now I'm stuck giving them a piece of my paycheck for the next 12 months.

I know what you mean. I didn't put WWP on my CFC, but enough people asked the unit CFC rep that he memorized their number.

I've seen the DAV, Legion, and VFW reps help vets, all I've ever actually seen of WWP is them asking for stuff from my military posts to put on fundraising events and television commercials.

Fallout from moonbats throwing a hissyfit over everything that they disagree with.

I experienced the same rejection with a charity event with Children's Hospital in Memphis.

I agreed to do the same a few months ago but they never did charge my credit card, now I'm glad they didn't.

Raleigh's USO is hidden away, but it is, by far, the best USO I've ever had the opportunity to visit.

Interesting that the "moonbats" are normally stingy with their own money.

They're against you donating to any cause, using your money, that they're against. They have pre-approval over all donations.

Ask em. They'll tell you.

I always look for "connections" when things look.........."different"...

WWP    Anthony K. Odierno, Secretary, Board of Directors,........ his father, General Ray Odierno, was the top American commander in Iraq.

Some good reading here;
FIRE GEN. RAYMOND ODIERNO

It's been my experience that anyone who has to put out that they're "non-partisan" is usually anything but.

BAck in the early 90's, my brother played bass in a band that did a USO circuit. HE played in Soth Korea and several other foreign bases.
