President Obama is suggesting that House Republicans on the issue of gun control appear neither willing to work with him nor listen to the American public on the issue.
“The House Republican majority is made up mostly of members who are in sharply gerrymandered districts that are very safely Republican and may not feel compelled to pay attention to broad-based public opinion, because what they're really concerned about is the opinions of their specific Republican constituencies,†the president said in an interview with The New Republic.
Obama also said he can get 50 percent of public support for many of his upcoming initiatives, but “I can't get enough votes out of the House of Representatives to actually get something passed. … I think there is still shock on the part of some in the party that I won re-election.â€
The president said he has a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that date back for generations.
He said that moving forward on the topic means understanding that the realities of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas.
He said it's understandable that people are protective of their family traditions when it comes to hunting so “gun-control advocates also need to do “a little more listening than they do sometimes†in the debate.

The arrogance leaves me speechless...
-
The arrogance is typical for the king wannabe.

I don't hunt any more so I guess I don't need a gun.....Right Obama? It's your ass and the communist democrats that I'm afraid of and makes me in need of a gun.

House Republicans are suggesting that the Arrogant Idiot Obamo on the issues of the debt ceiling and spending restraints appears neither willing to work with them nor listen to the American public on the issues.
Anyone see any difference?

Did you notice the projection he tossed in there about "heavily gerrymandered districts".
He was basically saying he believes that the only reason we have elected Republicans in D.C. is because we cheat.

There should not be any compromise on rights guaranteed by the US Constitution.
-
To Obama, compromise means give into the democrat agenda completely.
Since when has Obama ever compromised? It takes two willing parties to reach a compromise.

He's compromised plenty...just ask him...he'll tell you.
Granted there's nothing to back up his claims...

The second amendment doesn't mention hunting at all.
The Preezy must think it reads like this,
A well regulated hunting season, both wabbit and duck, being necessary to the security of a full belly, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, unless the president says 50% of the people agree with him, then the President may infringe all he or she wants.

Another little gem from the story:
“If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it,†he said.

Isn't the point of the House to ensure a branch of the government paid attention to specific constituencies? You'd think a "Constitutional scholar" would know that

I'm sure that the Anointed One does know that. But he can't let facts get in the way of his communist agenda.

We're not willing to compromise. We've compromised enough and all it as done is compromise our rights. We're done with that.
-
How about Obama compromise.
-
Compromise with Dimocrats is what has gotten us into the mess we're in.
-
I wonder how many Democrats would vote for Obama's plan.

There should not be any compromise on rights guaranteed by the US Constitution.
And there won't be. Molon Labe.

Another little gem from the story:
Hi,
Greta tore BO a new one for that comment. She mentioned on the air that many democrats have told her they would love to be on Fox but they get so much crap from the party it is not worth the hassle.
I cannot think of words to describe BO's arrogance that are not profane.
My only hope is something will come up that will be a Lewinsky which will stop all his crap for a year or so which will give us time for mid term elections.
2016 can't get here fast enough to suit me.

Obama wants us to compromise until our backs are against the wall.
Then, all he has to provide is the blindfold and last cigarette.
-
No more compromise. In fact, I want the whole cake back.

No ****ing compromise!
-
What's to compromise? They want to destroy the Constitution, we don't.

:werd:
I'm all out of compromise, BO. I'm sure you'll be able to get "Bend-over Boehner" to play your game though... :whatever:

I'm not familiar enough with the Florida districts, but in Missouri the most heavily gerrmandered districts were the dem districts. There are areas that a Republican never has and never will be able to win an election. There are some might strange shapes there, primarily encompassing the predominantly black districts.
Obama has some nerve making that accusation, but telling a bald faced lie never stopped the Annointed One from his campaign to destroy the Republican party.

It's not nerve; it's straight out of the Alinsky rules, which themselves could have been written by Josef Goebbels.
"If you're going to tell a lie, tell a big lie"...

It's just projection on his part. Straight out of the DU playbook. Just like they are convinced the only way we win elections is to steal them...44 believes the same thing.
Makes me wonder what his DU name is. :-)
