Other than to say I have seen this before, I make no comment other than this. To accuse Thomas Jefferson of being traitorous was not quite true. :banghead:

Thomas Jefferson was a member of the Democratic-Republican party which split over Governing philosophies, The Republicans in that party later left to form the Whig Party. The first straight Democrat was Andrew Jackson.

In reality, I had it backwards. It was the Republican-Democratic Party which morphed into the full blown Democratic Party. The point being the Democrats of old are nothing like the sniveling craving assholes we have today.

Keep in mind those Whigs included people like Hamilton before Burr did his job on him ( should have done so sooner, in my opinion ) Many, if not most of the Whigs before they went belly up were Northeast corporatist and the forerunner of what we have as NE Yankee DIMS and PUB liberals. They had tariffs place on all shipping in and out of the South and got them going and coming, in effect, the South paid twice. That money was used for infrastructure in the North while the South sucked hind teat.
