Some day before I die I would like to see a US President who
Skips all the religious nonsense that is called tradition that is part of the job
Then I can die happy knowing that America finally moved forward.

I'd be happy if we had one that would skip all the progressive nonsense and follow the Constitution.
Sadly the DUmmy is much more likely to get his wish than I am. :banghead:
What is it with DUmmies and religion? No one is forcing them to believe or go to church or any of that. Why is it so important to them that other people give up their religion?
The best reason I can guess, is as long as people believe in God then they won't need the government to fill the role of a higher power. Religious people tend to believe that their rights come from God and not from government and not from the Constitution, the Constitution just protects the rights that were given by God. Then add to that a strong moral code that can't be changed just because something is popular. No wonder they want God to be removed.

I look forward to the day I can see a president put his hand on the Bible and actually give a shit about not lying, stealing or coveting.
It's been damn near a quarter century since we had one of those.

What is it with DUmmies and religion?
The reasons are manifold:
1. Religion makes liberals feel guilty and shameful, and the ultimate enemy of the liberal lifestyle is guilt and shame. They are unhappy and defensive all of the time because they constantly must beat back feelings of guilt and shame over their lifestyle choices.
2. Religion requires one to place faith in something other than the government. Those who rely on the government for sustenance realize that faith leads to confidence, which leads to self-sustenance and industry, which in turn leads to mistrust of collectivism.
3. Religion requires the realization that there is something greater than the self. Liberals cannot bear the thought that anything can possibly be greater than themselves.
4. Religion is uncomfortable. It causes one to constantly examine his role in every social unit he occupies, and this is anathema to the liberal ideal.
That is off the top of my head.

Awesome summary.

Leftist government, being their religion, demands that all others must fall before it. Of course, Mooselimbs are exempt because that conflicts with the playing-O-the-Race Card®. (D)Ummies and their overlords, are poster children for the dire need of more religion.
...and retroactive abortions.
