The sister of satirist Stephen Colbert will launch a bid for a U.S. House seat in South Carolina, the Washington Post reported Friday.

Elizabeth Colbert-Busch notified the state Democratic Party that she will file Tuesday to run in the special election for the seat previously held by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).

Stephen Colbert's sister is running for congress.  Nobody has ever heard of her but what does that matter, her brother is a big Hollywood star!  These Hollywood jock-sniffing DUmmies make me sick.

Why not?  She's got to be at least as qualified as Ben Affleck.

Don't laugh yet. That district has a lot of blacks, queers, transplanted Yankees and die hard democrats. I have no idea how Mr. Scott won his election against Strom Thurmond's grandson......but I'm glad he did.

Actually, JohnnyReb, that might be worth studying.  Has the district changed via gerrymandering, or did he somehow break through to them?  Interesting.
