Kidnappers and at least some of their hostages were killed on Thursday as Algerian forces raided a gas facility where a heavily armed group of Islamist extremists was holding dozens of captives, including Americans and other foreigners, the Algerian government announced.
In a statement on national radio, the communications minister, Mohand Saïd Oublaïd, said that many of the hostages had been freed, but he warned that the military assault was not yet complete and that some captives remained trapped inside the remote facility in the Algerian desert.
“The operation resulted in the neutralization of a large number of terrorists and the liberation of a considerable number of hostages,†Mr. Oublaïd said. “Unfortunately, we deplore also the death of some, as well as some who were wounded. We do not have final numbers.â€

I've heard differing stories about the ratio of hostages killed versus those freed. Some have said that only 4 of the nationals were freed, and the rest were murdered. Either way, Americans and other innocents were killed by a terrorist act, yet not a peep about this from Obama or Hilary.
Too bad the Big O didn't listen to Mitt when he brought up the Al Quaida escalations in Mali during the debates. Oh that's right, Al Quaida is not a threat anymore. :censored:

I think I was hearing that 25 were let go or escaped or whatever. I also heard they were claiming that they had been holding 41 people hostage.
We will hear more about 0bama's wisdom and his wonderful new executive actions than we will about this on the MSM.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/mitt-romney-knew-about-the-brewing-mali-conflict-b
After France's military intervention in Islamist-controlled northern Mali over the weekend, the North African country has become a hot topic in the news. But one man was introducing the problems in Mali to a mainstream audience before most other politicians and commentators: Mitt Romney.
At the time of the debate, Romney was receiving intelligence briefings from administration officials, a tradition for the presidential nominees that begins after their nominating conventions.
A former Romney advisor told BuzzFeed that Mali came up "repeatedly" in briefings by the campaign's foreign policy team and in debate prep.
So Obama knew about this and did ....... nothing. Sounds like Benghazi all over again. Obama's foreign policy sure gets a lot of people killed.

Yeah, their idea of SF is just a wee bit different than ours--theirs being that they'll kill anything that moves and sleep like babies afterwards.

Well...they enjoy the idea of killing unborn babies via believing that it is acceptable to do so. Why would this be any different?

Did Jay Carney leave someone out of the loop when he was telling everyone that the War on Terror was over and The Great Ozbama, Holy and Annointed Lord of All, had single-handedly won it? How can this be?
