Surprisingly it didn't last:

My whole life may be ****ed up but I'm living on a houseboat
Barge, technically. But anyway, last night there was a wind storm and the boat rocked and rocked and rocked. Best sleep ever!

5. That part didn't take any getting used to
I lived on this very same barge before my marriage. I never forgot the wonderful rocking feeling.
One day soon, I hope, I will be head over heels to be on this barge and refuse to ever move again. That, or the crazy lady who took over my house and kicked me out of the nest will go full on Coo Coo bird and leave. Actually, though, my dear husband hasn't been a dream through all of this so maybe by the time she finishes going nutso, I'll be over him. We shall see.

4. I'm sure you don't really want to know this but:
I just ended my 11 year polyamorous marriage so now I'm three weeks into being alone. Getting better about the loneliness but still pretty far away from happily alone. The other partner is actively sabotaging calm heads all around and my kids biomom is worried that he'll get abused without me being there. I'm doubting that last part - I wouldn't have left if I thought he was in any danger. I left because the other partner (new, moved in a scant 5 months ago) seems to have borderline personality disorder and it's catching. I was damn near crazy when I left.
Any questions?
But, hey, my other long, long term tertiary partner has a barge that he was about to rent out. I get a partner discount. Not too much but enough that I can afford to live in Seattle and still pay a hefty child support payment.
And it's another windy night so it's rocking gently. It's like being on a kiddie ride. Small flutters in the tummy but nothing scary.
In happier times:

2. For now, I'll let that be what I'll work towards

But in my family, we are three. We are a triad and we can't marry either. Well, we can, and plan to, handfast, but we don't get legal protection.
Edited to add: Luckily, both moms of my husbands like me and I'm an orphan so I don't anticipate problems with being able to visit or make decisions in the hospital

6. Polyamory
It's not my religion, just my life.
Two husbands, a boyfriend, a kiddo and a dog. No, I'm not married to the kiddo or the dog, of course, that would be wrong.
And no, my husbands are not chattel, they have girlfriends too.

8. Honestly, it's only as healthy as the people involved
Poly folks divorce rate is about the same as the national average, though if there are big problems, the usually come to light more quickly - many eyes mean many mirrors. I've been poly since the early 90s and been in my share of screwed up situations. I'm feeling quite settled and happy now. I would love to have a co-wife but so far, that doesn't seem to be in the cards though I've had two situations in the past where that was part of my life. As a matter of fact, my son is my stepson and his mother used to be with us (she left us, unfortunately. She's now a weekend mom.)
Boy, is my life dull.

Why would anyone post this online? Hoping to inspire some lonely DUmmie to write a Dear Penthouse?

tavalon is trying to be the new Mrs. Sniffa/Rising Phoenix.

long term tertiary partner
I have a headache.

Honey, it's a vagina, not a phone booth.

Or emulate the cbayer primitive and her eccentric English husband, who live on a small boat.

It's the DUmp though, so you can't be too sure.

That's what I thought at first, but as I read further, I began to have doubts.
Who the hell knows what IT is. (or even gives a flying f*** what it is.)
-
Boy,who could have seen this happening with such a solid relationship as that?
::)

I need a graph because I am very confused as to what "she" is trying to say here.

Screwing up your life 101.
Core liberal constituency: The freaks.
Deviancy redefined as normal.
This is just pathetic.

I heard about Polyarmous marriages on this one show Taboo. They were all fugly. Its the kind of relationship where they're like "You got no one else babe."

I gave up in the middle, trying to figure out which gender it was.

I re read it looking for a clue.
Only thing for certain is that it is figuratively screwed.
It gets confusing though.
Not legally married.
But in my family, we are three. We are a triad and we can't marry either.
Then:
As a matter of fact, my son is my stepson
You may call him that but no legal bond.
Finally:
I can afford to live in Seattle and still pay a hefty child support payment.
All I can say is ****ing DUmmies.

Liberal family values.

I consider myself to be pretty sharp. But man, I am lost. And I have a headache.
We need a chart for this one.

Maybe this will help she and both her husbands all screw anything that moves.
-
I didn't read any part of the tavalon primitives discription of her relationships that a bullet to the head wouldn't solve immediately.

Really? That's where it draws the line?!?

I'm wondering who the crazy one in this relationship actually is.
All of them, would be my guess.

I'm convinced that some threads need to be left where they are and just burn out.
This is one of those "You can't tell they players without a score card" head scratchers.

Sounds like it...which makes the 'Child support' remark puzzling, since she refers to the kid as having a different biological mother, and not being legally married it is hard to imagine she ever legally adopted it.

Thank you.
I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who found that confusing.

It sounds to me like Tavalon is a female, but so nasty that she drove two bi-sexual males to go teh full ghey route.

I was actually going to ask if they were male or female, no idea.

The Op is what I imagined a dogs life would be like if they could talk.
.

If the op is female, then with all that use her vagina was worn out and it was time to trade her in......right?

Two.......one for each husband.

I'm pretty sure it's a female. They do have to pay child support, too. If sh/it was living in a "polywhatever" relationship with 2 men...doesn't the "poly" part imply that they have to be more than one gender (or undecided, at least). I feel sorry for the kid. Can't imagine any child having to grow up in that chaos. Terribly confusing & abusive.

Normally not unless there is a biological relationship to the kid, or a formal adoption, and neither one of those seem to apply.
I've known a few people in these kinds of 'Marriages' over the years, none of them ever lasted any longer than this DUmmie's.

I don't see how they could! One or the other is always going to be jealous, or think one or another is getting more attention. And personally, I don't really want to be in a "marriage" with a man who thinks it's just peachy to be in one with another man. I want to control the nuts in my home, not pass them around like appetizers!

It's possible that the child the DUmmy is paying child support for is not the same one she is calling "step"child.
Which complicates things further, because there is a whole other family somewhere!

Sometimes I think even they don't know what kind of relationship they're in!

I keep getting this mental image of this tavalog person walking the streets, offering to give dogs BJ's for beer money.

It could be the chinless butterball, if you could add 150 lbs. of fat rolls.
