The elites in Washington do not consider the concerns of the citizenry to be important.
The elites will inform us what is important.

good sheep need to be alarmed at global warming and be aware of celebrity gossip. Leave such weighty things as the budget and the constitution to the wise who have studied such ponderous things.

Based upon our debt, guns are the least of our problems...
