If you can afford it
Target has gloves and hats on sale.

I got two sets and gave then to a homeless family. It's not much, but you could very well save a life.

Yeah, Mother Teresa pales in comparison to Nads.

She better be careful, she might hurt that arm of hers patting herself on the back.

In the upper thirties.

Those gloves will save a wino from fatal frostbite.

4. Yeah

I own the clothes for this...many of my neighbors don't.

Naturally, nads is better and more prepared than her neighbors.

Oh geezuz.

When I was at a gasoline station in the big city the other day, after being given my $4.43 change, I dumped it into one of those jars by the cash-register.

Whoop-de-doo.

Yip-yippity-yay.

franksolich is compassionate.

Bah, humbug.

My husband just dropped off two large garbage bags full of clothes, a sleeping bag, an old tent and some shoes to Goodwill. I bet we saved more lives today than Nadin.  :jerkit:

8. I took out of the closet

The heavy winter jacket. So I was toasty at the food market. Tomorrow need to ask the coroner, let's see if they tell me...how many of the vulnerable populations have died.

American media rarely if ever asks.

They got somebody die last night at a trailer park. I am almost willing to bet defective space heater.

Nadin's To Do List:
Pester coroner  :mental:

The coroner reports two dead winos, both wearing brand new gloves.

Now, what in the world makes the oblate spheroid think she's "cleared" to get comments from the county coroner in advance of public release?

If that person is in the same key club as Nadin... suffice it to say he is a glutton for punishment!

9. "American media rarely if ever asks"

Yes, you never read in the American media about deaths from cold weather...

16. Be damn careful

A person died last night at a trailer park in a fire.

Editor wants to see if nefarious, I am almost willing to bet defective space heater. Too many years of EMS I guess.

We had to leave the back window open (construction) overnight. We piled blankets on.

12. The other day I walked into the store

And bought a new blanket for a man begging at the corner. Man wore army jacket and looked cold. If they had a hat, would have gotten that, he was crying when I gave him the blanket.

It's gonna be cold tonight

and keeps ranting about space heaters being responsible.

Usually the crazy bald dwarf writes better bouncies than that.
I guess she's a Lee Ann Womack fan.

Just how cold is it, in sunny San Diego?

Right now, it's -2 here.

Hell, I'm thinking about buying a patio heater for when we sit outside with dog when she wants to play.   I hope it doesn't draw any homeless people.

Is a "patio heater" real, or are you joshing me?

A large majority of homeless people are there by choice, or because they are addicted to various chemical substances.  Additionally, many are mentally ill, but it would be inhumane to force them to accept treatment  :whatever:

It's real. I have one. It's really nice for sitting out with a cigar when it's cold out.

Similar to this, but less expensive.

That's kind of what I've been looking at, something to sit under.  It's 18 degrees, and we just came in from playing fetch with the dog.

My heater is about 3.5-4 feet tall. It sits on the patio table, on my covered porch. The gas line passes down the umbrella hole in the table, to the propane tank underneath.

Great idea! With that one, nadin only needs to buy one for every two winos in San Diego.

Like your family, my wife and I give loads of stuff to Goodwill each year.  I guess we can have a hospital wing named after us now.  Nads is pathetic.
