3. I just got a scare
Report, wrong, of shooting went over radio...police were responding code three to movie theater.
I gotta hope they find the idiot that placed that 911 call. Was starting to get gear together.

8. I can, done the job (graphic for those not wanting to read this))
The first thing that goes through your head is...what if there is still an active shooter? Hence questions like what type of weapon when possible.
The second, at least to us...what if somebody placed a device as well? They are waiting for us. Stand back in the US helps for both for EMS but can delay entry while cops make sure, as best as can be done, that those dangers are not there.
The third, you really are not ready, when you see a kid shot that your job is to keep alive. What our media ignores, since it sanitizes things, is that you can't run in either. Blood is really slick...and finally, there is this incredible coppery smell you never quite forget.
I was looking at the map before going as a reporter for the tactical layout of the land. None fears my 300 mm, not when they carry a .223.

Oh geezuz.
Another example of why civilians shouldn't be allowed to own scanners that pick up law-enforcement radio communications.
The oblate spheroid has no reason, no reason at all, to own such a thing; she's just a prying old busybody, a yenta, having to stick her nose into stuff not her business.

I am cleared for school mass shooting....... Who knew you had to get cleared before you could shoot up a school.

My exact first thought.

Are there any words to describe that level of stupidity?
Doubtful.
Did gNads get its gear together before pooping its clutch

I suppose it's never occurred to the oblate spheroid that if she were to show up at the scene of an ongoing crime, the cops would kick her out of the way.
<<knows.
Not that cops are rude or anything, but they don't need a child, an ancient, a retard, or a handicapped person unwittingly getting into harm's way.
Her mere body represents too much surface-space for a bullet.

Frank, she's not a civilian. She's not even a citizen.
She's a JOURNALIST! :lmao:

True, but she IS low-profile. :lmao:

You know the nadin type, though; every town, every neighborhood, has one.
The grotesque little creature who having no responsibilities in life, constantly sticks her nose into affairs not her business. The busybody who's obsessed with being "the first to know."

When I was doing EMS people like her were a major PITA. They got in the way and I have had police escort them away in the past. But they were fun to mess with. :rotf:

Glad I wasn't the only one who messed with these people in EMS. :-)

I disagree Frank, there is every reason for people to own scanners.
Bad weather storm, tune into the road works Chanel and find out the roads that have been plowed.
Helps to know where bad accidents tie up the roads, or the fire department is working and those roads are closed.
Police enforcement, lets you know of places to stay away from, say grandmothers neighbor goes ballistic, or a child is missing, all the BOTLO for bank robbery's and jail breaks.
My scanner is triple trunk and is on during bad weather mostly. Other times when a police alert comes out then I turn the divice on to see what they, the police are doing.
Fire department goes by hooting and I am interested in what they are responding to. Why ? small town and family or friends may be involved.
To say that Nads does not have a need for the scanner is much like saying she has no need for a CCW or by town, State and federal laws need to spend her money on a home security device or a need for a Ham License, a shot gun, or under Obama care a pap smear every year.
Frank we buy with the money we make lots of things that we have no need for. No one should question our purpose, our need for an item, unless one wishes to buy 100 pounds of TNT.

Tactical layout of the land.
Honestly, does anyone know what the **** this means? Can any of you Army doggies or Marines explain this one to me, please?
And I look at her posts on DU and what she claims to put in the East County Times, OB Rag, etc., and I KNOW there have to be at least 3-4 edits between her keyboard and the Internet/printer. I'm sure her editors get a story from her, and start popping the No-Doz and removing all sharp or explosive objects from arm's reach.

Hmmm, I see this completely differently.
I do not believe Nads was prepared to go to the scene of a mass shooting. I do not believe she has received police clearance to report from such a scene.
All that happened was Nads heard a report of a false alarm on the radio, and decided to make herself the hero/martyr. She was ready to go, confront the crazed gun owner. But alas, the mere presence of Occupy San Diego prevents such mayhem. All should bow before the bravery of Nads, pretend reporter (soon to be a major motion picture starring Danny Devito as Naddin Abbot).

Thank goodness for the crazy bald dwarf. When really bad shit goes down, some of us depend on free online moonbat blogs for the news.

Actually, there was a story recently in SD of the police confronting (and shooting) a man near a movie theater who had allegedly threatened a woman with a gun.
Now why she couldn't have just linked the ****ing story and left it at that is beyond me.
Oh wait, no it isn't. I'm sorry, she had to appear all "edgy" as if she was somehow "in the know" of what goes on in San Diego.
Pssttt...nads...little heads-up for ya. Nobody's buying it.

Are there any normal people who care what's going on in San Diego?

Well Unless she was planning to set up a defensive fighting position with over head cover and aiming stakes and a range card I have no idea either and I would think the cops wouldn't care for that one bit if she did try that.
