We've seen the numerous rants at your site about the evils of capitalism and profit...about how its not fair for people and companies to make more than what it costs them to provide a good or a service.
So let me ask you this.
If its evil and unfair for corporations and small businesses to make a profit...why is it fair for you to run DU as a "for profit" entity?
What makes it ok for you but not for others?

"Let's see, how do I answer that sort of a question? I'll check here in my Head DUmmie Manual. . . .
Nope, nothing. EarlG, help me out here. . . ."
$kimmer comes up empty.

Its probably a question the DUmmies think about but are afraid to ask for obvious reasons.
Hopefully the lurkers will make him aware of what I asked.
I'd be curious to see his response.

I expect its the same as always - They aren't concerned about profit, but who is profitable. If one is sympathetic to liberal causes, on e is free to rake in billions, outsource workers, and pay out wages far below what they would otherwise consider 'fair' or 'living' - for instance, consider Apple Everything they do is "wrong" according to primitive dogma, but they vote correctly, so its okay - same goes for Al Gore, who just evaded a bunch of new taxes, and is now worth about seventy million more than Mitt Romney.
If Romney is evil wealthy, then Gore MUST be 70 million dollars more evil, right ? Bueller ?

Not to mention him selling Current to "Big Oil" one of the most hated profiteers by the left.
Look at John Kerry:
who avoided $507,500 in Bay State taxes by mooring his 76-foot yacht, the Isabel, in Rhode Island — personally has $240 million, according to Forbes magazine, and his ketchup-heiress wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, controls another $500 million to $1 billion — including a private jet called The Flying Squirrel.

Like you said it has to do what party you with is all. That article clearly points out the media's bias on wealth.
Romney gives entire inheritance to BYU while Kerry moves yachts around to avoid $500,000 in taxes, yet ABC called Kerry and man of the people.

Not only did he sell to 'Big Oil" he sold controlling interest of a (formerly) American company to a theocratic nation. To be fair, Al Jazerra has claimed to be independent of Qatar since 2011, however, it is also well known that the nation still exerts considerable executive control.
*Like how the US Postal Service is technically an independent federal entity - on paper. Yet the USPS can do nothing without approval from the government - not even raise the cost of stamps.

Let's don't slam my fellow alum.

His macho resides in the keyboard. Nothing more.

He's married to what seems a feminazi.
If one can get it up around one of them, one's macho.
<<macho, but not that macho.

Whether or not he does that... he has value to us. He provides us with endless hours of entertainment... and it's free!!!! :-)

You say that like you don't already know that hypocrisy and deceit are the defacto standard in the leftists playbook.
I hope you didn't seriously expect them to admit it though.

It's an honest mistake.
Once you know a guy's a democrat, he automatically looks like a polesmoker.
And odds are you're right.

One does not exclude the other. Like the door to a roadhouse kitchen, Skinner may swing both ways.

I was curious to see whether Skinner would actually address the question. I didn't expect anything more than the typical liberal spin...but I believe it's a question that a LOT of his members want to ask but are afraid to...so I did them a favor.
And given the number of views this thread has gotten...it's fair to say that more than a few DUmmies have seen it and rowed back over to make him aware of it.
I hope you didn't seriously expect them to admit it though.
No...but there's always a chance.

That's the first picture of Skinner I have ever seen. And now knowing his wife is a feminazi, I will forever picture his balls in her purse. Fitting.

Why does he even need to earn a profit from DU? It seems to me he should have made a enough money pimping subs for Subway.
