Why is it that so many gun owners dream about an excuse to use their guns?
To dream of being a hero? To save the innocent?
I had these dreams when I was 14.
Then reality set in.
I feel we have a bunch of gun owners stuck at 14 who haven't realized reality yet.

I never dreamed of shooting anyone until I was in my 60's and discovered by Al Gores wonderful internet that there were DUmmies out there that just needed killing.
-
Since dumbass had these dreams, everyone has had them? Talk about the herd mentality! The only time I think about using my guns is when I read stupid crap like this!
-
As I have stated in a previous thread, I hope I NEVER have to use it, like I never want to have to use CPR or a fire extinguisher.

The better question is why do so many gun grabbers willingly labor under such ignorance? Every damn one I have ever talked to has this irrational belief that I am just itching for a reason to pull the trigger.
Dummie, you need to get out of the echo chamber and try to learn something.
-
I dunno.
Why do so many liberals dream of a massive, all-powerful, unchecked, unregulated, centralized government consuming every aspect of human life and dignity and reducing it to calculations in a bureaucrat's ledger and then insist we can keep our freedom while avoiding tyranny?
Anyone paying attention gave up those dreams 6,000 years ago.
-
I don't dream of using my guns...I just use them. And I teach my kids and grandkids how to use them, also. Why dream about it when it's so much more effective to just DO it?

I file this nonesense in the same bin as all the claims by the left that our Military are a bunch of warmongers chomping at the bit to kill the enemy.
Going to war is the last thing that professional warriors want to do, however they are comitted to being ready to defend this Nation against all threats.

kinda sez it all

Some people shoot guns for sport DUmmie, the fact you can protect yourself with it is a huge bonus.
-
My irony meter just imploded. Witness the DUmmies who want to use drone strikes, hellfires, and AC-130 gun ships on gun owners.

I dunno...why is it leftists dream of every chance they can to disarm those they disagree with?

No, it didn't. That was your progressive teacher fondling you and convincing you that you're ghey.

That was like, less than 24 hrs ago, wasn't it? :-)

100% truth. :taps:

Well , I use my guns regularly for recreation (F-Class Target and hunting) and pseudo-professionally for vermin control.
Unfortunately "vermin control" in this context doesn't extend to self defence.
-
I hope none of them wear seat belts or wear motorcycle helmets.
No particular reason.

Why is it that so many gun owners dream about an excuse to use their guns?
Because of people like you.
-
The only dream I keep having involves owning a home with secret rooms and passages, they never involve shooting anyone. I suspect that its because I don't dwell on committing a potentially fatal act, and I also suspect that lawful owners of firearms don't either.
...I suspect this is just another primitive spouting off yet another leftist myth about conservative behavior.
-
I hope none of them wear seat belts or wear motorcycle bicycle helmets.
No particular reason.

You REALLY think a DUmmie would own a motorcycle?
-
It's a hard choice.
Shoot a deranged mass murderer and save 20 lives or shoot a DUmmy and spare the world of being exposed to the DUmmy for the next 50 years.
-
Why is it that so many gun owners dream about an excuse to use their guns?
I often dream that all the DUmbasses would get a job so my taxes would go down.
Why is it they don't ?
Oh right, the DUmbasses believe other people owe them a living but they never explain why.

I don't think of such a thing. I do know that the US Governemnt has done this to it's own people though.
1. Poisoned ingrediats to make booze during Prohibition killing thousands of American citizens.
2. Interned Japanese-Americans during a time of war just because they were thought to be a threat with no more prooof then their race
3. Forced Blacks to be considered to be less then human right up till the 1960's in some places .
4. Given blankets that had been infected with small pox to Indians
5. Sent Active Duty troop to stop a march by WWI veterans in Washington D.C. looking for help from the Government .
6. Set fire to a building holding children over accusations of child abuse that have yet to be proven in Waco Texas. Everyone died in that fire.
And yet you clowns say the need for guns is long past and that we should give then up. You people would be funny if not for the history and actions of the same kinds of people to prove you othwerwise. Things like I have posted are the biggest reason why the 2nd Amendment is there in the first place. The more you restrict or take away our rights the easier it is to do those things. And most of those actions were done under the hands of a Democrat President.

During World War I, civil liberties were severely curtailed under Democratic president Woodrow Wilson.
Many leftists dictators are repressive, militaristic, and violent. They often end in violence.

Benghazi while it would have been nice to arm everyone there it would not be possible due to the host country laws. They never go for that any place else but it would have at least gave them a fighting chance while Dear Leader sat on his ass.

Yea, expect much more of this under bammy...4 Americans MURDERED while bammy watched it ON TV and then called it: "just a bump in the road"!
Waco where our govt MURDERED 27 children and a total of 77 folks...to this day there has been no accountability as to why or what for.
-
So much of what little they know is so wrong. However, it does give an inside view of the very disturbed psyche of a leftist.

No, they ride bitch! LOL

It was Bush's fault. Just ask the DUmmies they will try to claim that he was governor when that happened, when it was Anne Richards a Democrat who was in office.

In their delusional world, everything is Bush's fault. It s clockwork. They are mentally ill and deranged.

They don't always blame Bush sometimes they blame Reagan and on rare occasions they go as far back as Nixon. :-)

****ing DUchebag whovian, it's time for school.
Mental preparation for the use of deadly force is not the same as "dreaming about an excuse to use our guns". By thinking of scenarios and responses, the responsibly armed person is better able to avoid trouble, when possible; act appropriately, when necessary; and maintain focus, when the shit hits the fan. It can mean the difference between living and dying.
One of the most common, and least understood, phenomena among men and women who carry a weapon for personal protection or duty is "The Dream." In The Dream, the dreamer is faced with a circumstance requiring deadly force: facing an enemy, a suspect, or an assailant who is pointing a weapon at the dreamer. The dreamer has his weapon in hand, and attempts to fire- but no matter how hard the dreamer squeezes the trigger, the weapon will not fire. In some instances, the dreamer will wake up, but in others the dreamer is shot by the enemy or assailant.
Some psychologists believe The Dream is a result of the dreamer's socialization or morality, valuing human life (even that of an enemy or assailant); others believe the failure of the dreamer's weapon to fire is a subconscious self-doubt, in which the individual is not confident of his ability to take the shot when the situation demands.
The Dream can happen once, or repeatedly, but it is commonly remembered intact. Almost universally, The Dream goes away after a first use of deadly force.
