(a) THERE IS NO BAN in either the UK or Australia. FFS, EDUCATE YOURSELF. The UK banned HANDGUNS a few years ago. There are MILLIONS of legally owned firearms in the UK (and Australia, and Canada).
(b) Of course the homicide rate was lower - access to guns has ALWAYS been more stringently controlled. HANDGUNS are the US's problem.

NO I DID NOT SAY THAT. God almighty, what is wrong with your brain?
I said that 1/3 of "violent crime" in the UK is minor assaults (which are NOT counted in the US).
I ALSO SAID that the UK counts, and the US does not count, most sexual offences - the US also does not count harassment, threats, and numerous other offences that the UK does count.
THERE IS NO COMPARISON.
