I'm beginning to think that we will need to start a resume for DollarBill. It looks like he's making a big push to overshadow nads.

Actually, RU - used properly - is hands-down the best herbicidal treatment.
The problems are caused by user error.
We build the finest meadows in the world, from Switzerland, Dubai, Australia, North and South America - everywhere. Sustainable, drought-resistant Native (mostly) meadows.
In order to rid the site of unwanted vegetation, we use only RU. It is amusing to watch the reaction on clients' faces when we tell them were are going to treat the site with RU. Usually, they want us to cover the site with plastic in orfer to kill the plants.
Plastic.
Now, that's some Green Living for you.
Yeah, kill all of the microbes and earthworms. That will insure some healthy growing conditions.

3. Just yesterday
Same kind of guy (educated, white-collar, etc.) told me - right to my face - that Clinton blew the surplus by getting us involved in Bosnia.
He also stated, "Politicians are like diapers. They need to be changed frequently.".
I did not even bother with a reply.

Huh, our outfit has a lawn care division, and while I stick mostly with the tree side, I do have my applicator license and know our guys use more than just Roundup professionally. Roundup is great but is not the be all/end all of herbicides, professionals know that some situations are better solved with different means. An outfit that just dumps Roundup on every job is nothing more than a homeowner.

So TiT builds meadows, bottles wine, sells trinkets, and drinks a quart of Bombay Sapphire every evening.
Nutcase nadin couldn't carry his straitjacket.

Roundup is great but is not the be all/end all of herbicides, professionals know that some situations are better solved with different means. An outfit that just dumps Roundup on every job is nothing more than a homeowner.
Glyphosate isn't the be all and end all of herbicides. It's not a pre-emergent poison and has little if any residual effects. There's actually quite a lot of stuff it is ineffective on. Singapore Daisy and Sensitive weed come immediately to mind.
I use dicamba and simazine in conjunction with glyphosate for fence lines and other places where a universal and enduring kill is desired.

I never use herbicides, we have a large back yard and the migrating birds poop seeds out and I never know what will grow next. We have some very odd plants that grow in the spring, I just fence off the strangers so hubby can mow around them and watch to see how they will turn out.
Kind of fun to see what weird thing will grow up each spring. Some have poisoned Berry's or the leaves are toxic but as they are 30 feet from the house and have beautiful flower's, so what.
I do love the wild flowers especially the Poppy's that are bright red, I have a small English garden in the front, no need to weed just watch as the colors come out.
Neighbors are into grasses, their yard has a border of some kind of grass with plums 4 feet tall and compact, really nice.
If weeds come up in a inappropriate place I pour boiling water on them, they go away. No need to use Lord knows what on the lawn, unless Grubs get into the soil. Then I throw down bird seed to draw in the birds and they take care of that problem.
