Guns are bad Pammy.  Critical error.

That would make him a poacher if he was in Kansas.

I don't hunt and never did (nor do I have a desire to).   I live in an area of the state where hunting is common, very much enjoyed, and a family activity.   Killing doe is not done from what I understand - but I have no knowledge of such things so I didn't say anything.

Some hunters won`t and others will...myself I don`t care, shot a doe in December (legally) for winter meat but understand those that will only take a buck.

I don't know Carl, the plagiarizing primitive may have actually written something truthful.  Here's a link to Kansas Department of Parks, Wildlife, and Tourism.  It shows an extended firearms Whitetail Antlerless-only from Jan.1 - Jan.13, 2013.

Around here, it depends on how bad the deer population is, whether or not we have 1 or more days of "doe season".  We usually have at least 1 day, but I have seen it go as long as a week in some years, especially if there are a lot of vehicle accidents involving deer.

It's usually the last couple of days of the hunting season.  They remove does from the herds to hold down the coming season's population, to limit the "production", so to speak, of younger deer.

I tried to get on that site this morning and it was down so if that is the case then stand corrected.

No worries, the plagiarizing primitive is so full of it that I fully expected to find all deer seasons in Kansas were done for the year when I checked that site.

Can not talk to other states but here in Tx ALL as in 100% of White Tail deer belong to the state of Tx.  They are well managed and we do hunt doe, but its based upon county and the management requirements as set down by the state.  Been times I had a doe tag and times I did not.  I would suspect that is well managed states its done the same...

Hell, in NY, there's talk of lengthening the deer season.  I really couldn't get out this year much, due to our move, but I did see four does during muzzleloader season.  Where the camp I belong to is, does are legal during MZ--but we had an agreement not to shoot a doe.  So, I held fire.

Screw the taste Johnny, one can sell or give away the meat.   For me it is the pelt.

Properly tanned the pelt comes out like butter at room temperature. Gloves and a vest that are softer then a new Born's butt.   Nothing in this world is so luxurious as Doe skin.

Expensive, you bet there was a dress made of Doe skin at Foxwoods Caisino that was ankle length full sleaved for $5,000.00.

Here in MO the deer seasons have all been over for a couple of weeks, and there are some who will only shoot bucks...most will shoot what their tags are for, and we have plenty of deer, so in most of the state you get a doe tag and an 'Any deer' tag, you can shoot one buck at most, but up to two does.  Does are generally better for the table as a buck's likely to be a somewhat tougher, not that it matters if he's just going into burgers, summer sausage, or brats.

Here in red state hell, with various weapons deer season runs from the late September until today, January 6.

The limit is three deer per day for the entire season, but you can only kill three bucks in a season.

So does are virtually unlimited - legally you could kill two or three hundred, I guess, if you could find them.

I killed six this year. Don't want any more.

I don't hunt animals only liberals. I take a large box and a stick with a string on it. I put Hilary Clinton's or Obama's Biography or a Che Guevara shirt under it. Though catching a liberal is hard. you have to wear camouflage which is a flannel shirt, a scarf, woolie cap, a fake tattoo on my neck. To mask my scent I cover myself with shame. I usually set up outside of liberal but capitalist stores like Apple or some hideous clothing store like Abercrombie and hollister. Sometimes I like to set up outside of smoke shops as well. The wait is usually 2 to 3 hours, I don't believe in catch and release either. I hunt for trophies. Should've heard the cries as I cut the dreadlocks off of one. I feel like Boba Fett when he hunts for Wookies and keeps the hairs.

If this was in fact a 'legal' kill, and knowing how much DUmmies hate all things associated with firearms, he must have run it to ground and strangled it.

Bait the site with tofu, and use patchouli to hide your scent- it smells like shame.

Hi 5 for you. Well written!

He IS married to Pam after all. He most probably lied it to death.

Same here in West by God Virginia, DD. Some counties have more doe days than others depending on the deer population.

One of my co-workers has some property in Mercer County, he was looking to bag another deer or 2 this weekend before the season ended there.

I think it has already ended here.
