In Athens. It did not work well. The democracy lasted two generations.

Oh and the complexity of laws would give staff way too much power.

Get rid of citizens united. Cut elections to 90 days to campaign, only publicly funded...and have citizens commissions, not state legislatures, draw districts, will go a long way.

"Democracy" dies an instant death the moment the left can take absolute power.
Not once do they ever care about the will of the people when they no longer need to use them.

And just who appoints these citizen commissions?

Just a guess but I'd say the party in control.

You've just created another Governmental bureaucracy that doesn't do anything that wasn't done be the smaller Government body.

Every now and then the liberals let the truth spill out. Democracy does not work. Too much freedom in the hands of the people. Too little power entrusted to the elite.

Thanks Nads. We now know you do not support democracy.

Get rid of citizens united

Does the same apply to unions?

I didn't think so.

Cut elections to 90 days to campaign

Except incumbents get to campaign every day they're in office.

Now, had you said incumbents can't use their power to buy votes with welfare, etc. then maybe you'd be on to something but it's pretty obvious you didn't think this through.

only publicly funded

Obama would never give up all those bribes.

Are you looking to get shot?

You've just created another Governmental bureaucracy that doesn't do anything that wasn't done be the smaller Government body.

And who do these "citizens commissions" answer to?  Not the voters, that's for sure.

Get rid of citizens united.
I she talking about the ovens? On the one hand she wants to get rid of a group formed by citizens, on the other she wants to form a citizen's group to redistrict. It is the distinction liberals hear between "colored people" and "people of color."

The only thing I understand from her is that liberalism is a death cult. That comes through loud and clear. Everything else the bald dwarf says is incomprehensible.

By the way.....

Today, January 10, 2012, marks the 2,061st anniversary of Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon, casting the die, reaching the point of no return.

One wonders if the oblate spheroid has that on her calendar.
