Two men and one woman were found dead inside a home in Aurora, Colo., after a gunman took them hostage early Saturday morning, police said in a news release. The gunman was also shot and killed by police after hours of failed negotiation attempts.
Another woman who had been inside the house was able to escape uninjured and alert authorities, the news release said. The woman told police that an adult male still inside was armed and had fired shots inside the home. She said she saw three people inside the home who appeared lifeless as she was leaving.
Officers were called to a town home in the 16000 block of E. Ithaca Place shortly before 3 a.m. after reports of shots fired. Several nearby homes were evacuated for safety reasons and police sent out emergency notifications for the other residents in the area.

Geeze, another opportunity for Obama and his merry band of gun grabbers to use in his quest to quickly enact more strict gun legislation or just plain make a grab for the guns. I have a feeling that every time a gun is involved in any way, anywhere, it will make headlines. The MSM is relentless in their support of the annointed one and his lib buddies.

yep, the drum beat and mantra is relentless.

A horrid incident, to be sure. I have to wonder what drugs were on board, and, would this be getting national attention if the whack job shooting in the movie theater hadn't recently happened.
Personally, I dislike that part of Denver metro, and am not at all happy that I will be within two miles of that address this week. But then, I'm never happy to go there. And with the congested traffic, I'm sure the people who live there would prefer I stay home, too.
ETA: A meth head. One with a history of criminal activity with weapons.

They don't call it Saudi Aurora for nothing. And sadly, my young nephew lives there.

Quite correct. I read the street location in the top of the thread, and before I got any further, I was thinking, "damn, what's the Religion of Peace(TM) doing this time...

If it ain't the ROP, it's the meth-heads, of which it sounds like this guy was one.
Priors and several arrests for meth, and apparently on a four-day bender. Gee, who saw this one coming?

Made it there and back without incident.
The people I work with there gave recommendations to those of us who traveled in on where to go, when to go, and where to never go. They didn't need to tell me! I always keep my head down and travel around as little as possible.

Glad you made the trek and that it was whacko-free. :cheersmate:
