High taxes for thee, but not for me, because I'm Al Gore, well-established ****ing hypocrite with access to DUmmy rectums on demand (http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=2122523)

Al Gore Pushed for Sale Before Higher Taxes
Interesting tidbit from the New York Times on the sale of Current TV:

"Mr. Gore and his partners were eager to complete the deal by Dec. 31, lest it be subject to higher tax rates that took effect on Jan. 1... But the deal was not signed until Wednesday."

Uh oh. Thou Shalt Not Critique the Goracle:

There is some hypocrisy here, but it isn't Al Gore.

Why not try bashing some Republicans sometime?

OK---so you own a business.... you are responsible for investors...

You're telling me that you would make the mistake of losing money by not selling before Dec. 31st?

If you did that, I'd sue your ****ing ass for incompetency.

But all businesses that don't like 0bummercare are evil...right...

Exactly.  The business owners are not responsible to the workers.

It would only be bad if a Republican did it.  Incredibly, diabolically evil if his name was 'Romney.'

This is a new twist for the primitives.  First they cheer Dear Leader keeping tax rates the same for 98% of the population (since when have liberals EVER been in favor of lower taxes for anyone?) and now they're defending someone trying to skip out on paying more in taxes.  Luckily for us, manbearpig was as incompetent as ever and missed the deadline.

But if you had told me libs would be cheering keeping 98% of the Bush tax cuts and arguing that big corporate CEO's should find ways to keep more of their money,  I'd have told you there's no way.  Of course it is manbearpig.  If someone they don't like does the same thing they'll crucify them.

After reading that thread I have to wonder when the DUches are going to start apologizing for their vilification of the 1%.

So, let me see if I got this right Algore tried (and failed) to avoid paying his fair share, and the DUmpmonkeys are defending him. graham4whatever points out the hypocrisy and gets pounded on the DUmp.

I wish one of the DUmbasses would come over here and explain this seeming anomaly.

I thought it came out that Romney had paid more in taxes.  He didn't claim some deduction in full or something, IIRC.

You know, in their effort to defend their precious environmental scammer god, there's a pretty big gaping hole that isn't being talked about. IF the goal really was to do what's right for the shareholders & investors as the (suddenly pro business) DUmmies allege, then why wouldn't he have taken Glenn Beck's offer? Beck offered him more, runs an American company that hires American workers (politics aside...remember, we're doing what's best for our shareholders & investors, the environment & the country). I'm sure Glenn Beck would've been happy to make this happen before the "practice what you preach tax hike" went into effect. Al-Jazeera is neither an American company nor loyal to America by any stretch of the imagination.

Mostly though, Algore SOLD OUT TO BIG OIL!!!! You know that DUmmie...Glenn Beck may be a lot of things, but he doesn't represent the very kind of environmental destruction you & Algore believe big oil to be. But hey, maybe if Al-Jazeera keeps any part of the Current Network here, they'll insist their employees drive electric cars and use only recycled paper. Of course, they could also decide not to use toilet paper as they do in their own country...that'd save a few trees. Y'all can choke on your own bile. You'd justify anything if it's one of your heroes. Biggest dupes on the planet! At least people in Arabic countries or North Korea who buy into propaganda of their leaders do it because they're uneducated and seriously don't know any better and can easily be led to believing what they're told. You guys should know better. Try google...it works for the bald dwarf.

Dear DUmmies,

Would it not have been 'altruistic' of St. Gore to take a huge hit on taxes? Where was St. Gore's sense of self-sacrifice you idiots preach?

Got news for you, DUmmie.  THAT'S HOW ALL OF YOUR "PROGRESSIVE" LEADERS ARE.  You see, liberalism is divided into two camps:

1) The powerful liars who will say and do anything to get elected or line their pockets or both.
2) the idiots who believe them and constantly vote for them.

I'll give you a minute to figure out which group you're in.

IOW, the haves, and the have nots. It's how it always is among Prog Marxists. Look at the idiots now. Obama has been in office for 4 years. Their lot in life STILL hasn't changed. They're still bitching about the same damn thing. In 4 years, they'll STILL be bitching about the same shit. Oh, but the haves? They're making out like bandits. Just ask Warren Buffet and Soros.
