Title: Had my eval and got a raise...
Post by: seahorse513 on January 02, 2013, 08:13:33 PM: I am so happy. I was so apprehensive about this for days. I have only been at the new store since September. I had been in Falmouth for the first 8 and this store the last 4. As things ddidn't work out in deli, I am back in Lawn and Garden. :yahoo: :yahoo: I wasn't sure who was going to give my eval or how it would turn out. It came out better than expected and I got a raise...

I had my eval back in November. I'm supposed to be getting a raise some time in January, just in time to pay for Barry O'Bama's ~~union slush fund~~ tax hikes.

If I could H5 you, I would.

I think that many places have trimmed their workforce so much that the better employees tend to stand out more. Even though the job market is not generally favorable to the employees, they can't really afford to lose the good ones either. So, they are likely to give raises, if possible, to these better employees to provide incentive to stick around.
