Remember Speaker Hastert? The way to pass a bill in the House...regardless of how many few or little dems, has to pass with a Republican majority. This s known as the Hastert Rule.

This is one of the reasons for the troubles Boehner is having.

The rest are related to a much weakened Speaker...

That and Cantor, but the MSM rarely speaks of the Hastert rule.

3. The Hastert rule is an informal rule which Boehner is free to ignore.

I personally suspect the oblate spheroid's shot her wad, and is going into decline from here on out, so that by the end of this year, nobody'll remember who she was.

I think you are correct.   Even though there are no shortage of threads where she is making a jackass out of herself, I am getting bored waiting for her to mention her loss.

How did I know, as soon as I saw the title, "A little inside baseball. . ." that it would be Nadin?

the MSM rarely speaks of the Hastert rule.

Fortunately, we have the NBM to fill us in.

That would be the Hasbeen Rule.

Don't agree Frank. In my opinion Nads has staying power.   :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

Or it could just be that the Houe Republicans think the deal is odious that they don't want to vote for it.  That's what Obama and Reid and the idiot Republicans in the Senate get for trying to pull an end run.

I tend to agree. If you do a search of DU you will see that she's been entertaining since her first appearance. She just somehow stealthily slipped under the radar for a while. Probably because she's a ninja.

I did not even need to open this thread to know it was about Nads. The title screams it.

No way. Her wad is still safely packed ahead of a potent charge.

She will continue to be without peer as a conceited, condescending, arrogant, offensive, ignorant ass.

She'll continue to provoke jealousy from those who, for whatever reason, resent long-term superior performance.

That's how noobie moles win DOTY.

Oh God, I hope not.

Having spent my whole lifetime watching people, one of my sports is watching the pompous and the arrogant self-destruct.

I've gotten a great deal of amusement out of it.

But nadin's grown rather too too tiresome, and daily I pray, Oh God, please help her self-destruct, as she inevitably must.

I don't see self-destruction.

I see a crazy bald dyslexic dwarf.

Or maybe Dave Hester.
