1. Here's mine:
I take a pretty good sized casserole dish, or something that's oven-proof or microwavable.
In it, I make layers.
Bottom layer: cut up turkey
Top layer: stuffing
Pour gravy over the whole thing; cover.
I usually nuke it, but it can also be reheated in the oven.
We love it!

Can't stand the stuff, but love mayo!

14. I do not like the taste of Mayo
however I think Mayo would work for people that do not like Miricle Whip

3. Turkey Tortilla Soup
Onions, sweet peppers, garlic, black beans, rice, corn, the turkey meat, tomatoes, and the turkey stock are the main ingredients - spiced with chili power, cayenne, cumin and black pepper.
That's dinner tonight - left over from Thanksgiving!
serve with crumbled taco chips and grated cheddar

Turkey salad is easy, just dice the turkey add a chopped up hard boiled egg, mayo and pickle relish that is all.

15. I don't quite have a favorite recipe yet. I have tried several good ones, but I am still looking for that just right recipe! All I know right now is that it will involve green chilies, green enchilada sauce, sour cream and cheese. Oh, and turkey!

13. Should try the green chilis
I just use cheese and regular red enchilada sauce, but a variant would be nice.
GoCubsGo (11,769 posts) Sat Dec 29, 2012, 06:35 PM
19. Yep!
Red chili overwhelms the delicate turkey, while the green chili and sour cream do not.
A sandwich of turkey with a little mayo and salt and pepper runs a close second. Sliced tomatoes and lettuce on it are okay, too.

12. Hot and Sour Soup
I also like Turkey Divan, Turkey Tetrazzini and Turkey Noodle Casserole. And a Thanksgiving sandwich with sliced turkey, bread stuffing and cranberry sauce.

17. Turkey Tetrazzini
I don't have a recipe, but a friend's mom used to make it. Basically, Chicken Tetrazzini only with the other white bird.

20. Turkey mole and turkey enchiladas eom.
My Mother used to take the leftover turkey, throw it into the leftover gravy with the leftover peas and warm it up and ladle it over toast. AKA Turkey SOS. serve it with stuffing and leftover rolls.... Mmmmm Mmmmmm, It was my favorite use for the leftovers.
:hammer: to everyone on this thread, DUmmies included, who are throwing peas into everything. For all I know, Pam probably puts them in her enchiladas.
Stirring peas into otherwise good food should be at least a misdemeanor.

Yeah, quit it with the peas, people!! Bleh . . .
The primitive who starts all the "What's for dinner tonight" threads at the DUmp makes this disgusting concoction whenever she's out of ideas.
Pearito -- soft tortilla wrapped around rice and canned peas :puke:
Such "gourmets" they are :whatever:
