Spokesman: George H.W. Bush in intensive care
Source: Boston.com

HOUSTON (AP) — A spokesman says former President George H.W. Bush is in the intensive care unit at a Houston hospital.

Bush’s spokesman, Jim McGrath, said Wednesday evening that the former president has been in the ICU at Methodist Hospital since Sunday.

No details were immediately provided. But earlier Wednesday, McGrath said a fever that kept Bush in the hospital over Christmas had gotten worse and that doctors had put him on a liquids-only diet.

A bronchitis-like cough initially brought Bush to the hospital on Nov. 23.

1. Bush Sr. has been looking kind of rough for a while, now, so this doesn't surprise me

I wish I could work up some sort of sympathy, but since I can't say anything nice about the man, I won't say anything at all.

Sure, he might not have been our choice and for the time he seemed like an ideologue but compared to most of the clowns running the GOP today we was downright moderate. Before that, though, he is a human being and I wish him well. if this is to be it for him, then I hope it's quick and peaceful. If not, then a speedy recovery. Whatever will be will be but it's not cool to wish him ill just because his opinions differ from yours. That's something conservatives do.

is that he and his evil namesake will likely never be prosecuted for War Crimes.

My first-hand experience with him had shown him to be an evil man, not worthy of anyone's respect.

The Bush name will always be a stain on the Presidency. May he rot in Hell.

I only wish there was a hell for him. The only hell on earth I ever saw of him was when he was crying because someone called Jeb names. He's pathetic.

with a person who sent thousands and thousands of people to an early grave over a long sustained career, dying comfortably in a warm bed while being well cared-for in his old age. There are so many thousands of people on five continents that were never given that chance thanks to his work over the years, to say nothing of the fine work of his spawn to keep the tradition of suffering and profits going, but perhaps that sort of thing isn't really polite to inconveniently remember at such at time.

13. Here's hoping he suffers as much as possible.

His war on drugs, among many of his numerous "accomplishments", have destroyed many families over miniscule amounts of pot and other drugs.

We are supposed to bring the sympathy card out for him? F that shit. Just because he wasn't as bad as his soon doesn't mean he wasn't an evil man.

34. Go look at some of the evil he did while at CIA and done under his reign

A truly evil son of a bitch, I cant believe how nice and chummy people here are being.

The man was in Dallas when JFK was shot, but would never talk about where he was or what he was doing. He was brunching in NYC with bin Laden's and other Saudis when the planes hit... He was behind Reagan while he was demented from alzheimers, pulling hte strings on Iran Contra, the hostages........

Leave it to Poppy to be dying now during the final days of trying to resolve the budget, they'll do anything to deflect focus on what's important, even if it means sacrificing Poppy. No pity here.

So much hatred. Isn't any wonder they are all bitter, unemployed losers.
