Is everyone as sick of those "tolerant," "inclusive" and "open-minded" liberal hypocrites as I am?
I have too many libertarian leanings to be a good republican, even though I'm definitely conservative-leaning; but I always vote with the republicans because the idea of voting for a democrat has become absolutely repulsive.
I guess that makes me a "racist" to the average liberal, but I wouldn't vote for Obama if he was so "white" he glowed in the dark!
Anyway, I hope I will find good, patriotic Americans here who can disagree without hate, debate without hysteria, and discuss real solutions to problems without constantly blaming their own failings on someone else. You know, non-liberals.
So let's have some fun!

Welcome. We were neighbors until recently when I moved from Denton to Dallas. There are a lot of Texans here.

We should really start checking IDs at the door.

I suspect Texas will become a more and more popular place to be over the next four years.

Hello from NH!!

Howdy, from Kansas. I'm 8 hours up the road from you; just a short ride on a summer day.
I am a cigar smoking, bourbon drinking, motorcycle riding, redhead loving, pistol carrying right-libertarian, and I have a great time here. I'm sure you'll like it. Just don't say the name "Murray Rothbard" too loudly; he has an effect on some people :maddernhell:
As you observed on another thread, this ain't no Sunday school. To prepare yourself for the complete CC experience, I recommend immersion in the CC Big Four:
1. Bacon
2. Pie
3. Boobiez
4. Beer
You'll be glad you did.

Welcome from The Pothead State - Colorado. Where Rocky Mountain High isn't measure in feet above sea level!

Hey, thanks!
I'm a former Colorado-an, too! Even though I loved the Colorado Springs area, where two of my four sons were born and where I had every intention of staying at least until they grew up, we moved back to Texas a few years after the Northridge Earthquake - when so many Californians relocated to The Springs and ruined it. The Garden of the Gods was privatized; the murder count went so high that they stopped talking about it on the news; Palmer Park became so overrun with gays that even a family driving through on a Sunday afternoon was more likely than not to get stopped by someone in the road trying to hit on the husband for sex on one of the picnic tables; and housing prices quadrupled.
It just wasn't any good anymore.
But I sure do like to visit there a couple times a year.
Although I've never been a pot smoker, I don't have anything against those who do smoke it. I just can't help wondering what's going to happen when the State and Federal governments tangle over the ultimate legality of it, no matter that Obama says it's not that important an issue. It should be fun to watch!
Thanks again!

I have to wonder if all those in jail for pot related offenses are going to be let out since it's legal now?

Hi there and welcome! I have an answer to the question you posed re federal vs. state government: the state gets sued by the asshole Holder, Obie's #1 legal stooge. Just ask MY state government officials!

Welcome from northern New York! We have a great time here.
