We are boxed out of the main stream media.
So lets spit ball this, how do we force ourselves back into the picture.
The first thing I can think of is to shame local media into covering what needs to be covered.
There are already efforts like newbusters but they are a national effort so I don't think they are gaining any traction.
Local efforts won't be any easier, heck I got the Indianapolis Star to deal with.
But there has to be a way for us to push past the media resistance and get our message out, if not we might as well give up now.

What I am thinking about is local liaisons to local media that has a national backstop.
I have the time to get after the Indy Star but if I have the support of conservatives nationwide then we have a voice.
I don't know everything about anything. That's where national support comes in.
The other thing is how are the proggies winning, is it really just free stuff?
I know I've been a "let it burn" kinda guy but lets give it a thought.
-
Another thing that I have been thinking about is op eds to local newspapers that might have a go ahead from the newspaper.
The op ed might be a crowed source thing.
Come on, help me out!
If it is worth the trouble lets think about this.

I will bump this once.
If no one thinks this is worth a thought I will let it die.

Use "Rules For Radicals" against them.
Change the conversation. Make THEM discuss what YOU want to discuss on YOUR terms.
We need to treat the MSM like a Cancer...dig underneath and get it at the roots.

Thanks Jason.
I appreciate you chiming in.

Most local business owners - who buy newspaper ads - are conservative-leaning, if not partisan repubs.
Local papers can only stay in business by selling ads. Even many large papers have shut down or are in trouble because business owners found other ways to advertise.
A large enough coalition of ad buyers signing some kind of petition demanding "fair and balanced" coverage in the local paper, delivered to the PUBLISHER or Account Manager and not to the Editor, will go a long way toward getting some non-biased news coverage.
I've been a working journalist for 16 years (doing general hard news stories and entertainment features for a midsize Texas daily), and in that time I've seen the newsroom go from 18 full-time reporters to 3, with 3 freelancers and an unpaid intern. Now that the paper is facing its demise, it has cut out most of the liberal bias in the reporting and trimmed back much of the liberal slant on the op-ed page. Even so, it might still be too late for the paper, since it has already created such a nice market for alternative advertising through its biased news presentation.
Something to think about, at least.
