I'm so so sick of people bashing teachers. Granted, this is done primarily by right wing nutjobs whose real intent is to destroy ALL unions and the public education system. For too many decades Republicans have made teacher-bashing the fashion, and I am just sick of it. But are libs out there defending teachers against bullshit accusations by the right wing? I'm not so sure.

Teachers work a hugely long day. Teachers don't just go home and watch TV, they prepare lessons, they grade papers, prepare exams, are the psychologist of their classroom, finance a lot of the materials kids in their classroom use, and CARE for the well being children while they are in the classroom.

I'm so sick of the protected classes the left puts people in, you can't say anything negative when they do something negative because of which group they belong to.

What in the hell do unions have to do with any of this? I know you goons constantly want to ban guns and will use any incident to try to further that agenda but throwing in the unions in the mix that is even crazier than usual.

Also why do they want to ban gum all of a sudden?  :-)

Attacks on teachers happen every day. Usually intercity schools without discipline.

Yeah, cuz there isn't a teacher alive who doesn't belong to a union or a teacher who does belong to one and would love the option to NOT have to belong. The world isn't black & white you asshats. Damn you guys are dumb, I mean stub your toe when you're laying in bed dumb. I have poultry smarter than you. Had a rooster once get his foot stuck between two boulders and just hung upside down their until the idiot died. HE was smart than you...damn site more attractive too.

In 3 & 1/2 years of my sons high school education, I've see exactly one (that's "1") test paper and that just about took an act of congress to get.  That's when I first learned that they had failed to teach him simple arithmetic.

He had a "B" in English this last 4 weeks. I asked him what happened. He didn't know because he has never had a graded paper returned to him. HOW THE HELL IS ONE TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING WRONG IF YOU NEVER GET YOUR WORK RETURNED TO THEM.

The next teacher/parent one-on-one they have at school is going to get rather interesting.

What the hell are they doing in that school?  I got all of my work back, from the first grade through the last year of college.

Only at the Dump is 8am-4:30pm with an hour lunch and an hour of planning without kids a "hugely long day" Oh! and lets not forget only working 180 -190 days a year to begin with!  ::)

My sister in law is a teacher. She has absolutely NO common sense, she is book smart though. She is so smart she thought getting pregnant 7 times trying to have a girl was a good thing...she now has 7 boys.  This is one teacher I wouldn't trust with a gun to protect the kids. She would however know how to lead them in
a quiet and orderly fashion to the lunch room.
We can always hope they make it past any crazed gunman that comes to the school.

Sorry boobiez but my beef with public school teachers has more to do with their attempted with their pro Marxist, anti religion  brainwashing of their students.

It's ridiculous.  I have to give them credit, though.  For the most part, it's subtle in the grades and high school.  They really turn the screws in college.  A great many conservative parents spent their childs' entire growing years raising a grounded, right thinking son or daughter, only to have them brainf*cked.
