'This Is Not Going To Help Republicans ... A Woman Of Color Has Been Forced Out'

Andrea Mitchell weighed in on Amb. Susan Rice withdrawing her name from consideration for secretary of state on Thursday, commenting that the decision would "not help Republicans at all."

Rice's consideration for nomination was abruptly interrupted after Republicans continuously attacked the ambassador for her response to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

"If nominated, I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive and costly -- to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities," Rice wrote in a letter to President Obama.

Speaking on MSNBC, Mitchell said:

I think this had become sort of an impossible challenge for her to be confirmed, that she realized that, the White House realized it as well. I think they know they are on good political solid ground, as you were just pointing out. This is not going to help Republicans at all, the fact that a woman and a woman of color has been forced out of a confirmation process even before she was nominated.

Yet it was just fine when any of Bush's "minority" nominees were forced out.  :whatever:

They accuse us of being racists and sexists yet it is they who only see people by the color of their skin or what is between their legs.

And what about the voters down in FL who forced Allen West out of congress and voted in a white guy? Wouldn't they be racists too?

What about the democrats in Utah who voted for whitey over Mia Love?

Well, of course!  Dims have no problem with liars, so why would they have any understanding of the issue with Rice?  On the other hand, they very well understand that "all repukes are racist, sexist @$$holes," so obviously those are the reasons Rice withdrew.  There is no place for any TRUTH in their opinions, after all.

(Whatever you do, do NOT remember their treatment of the "other" Rice during Bush's term.   :banghead: )

There was no way they were going to expose her to sworn testimony.

Wonder if she is starting to hear...

Miguel Angel Estrada Castañeda (born September 25, 1961) is an attorney who became embroiled in controversy following his 2001 nomination by President George W. Bush to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Senate Democrats, claiming Estrada was a conservative ideologue with no experience as a judge, and unable to block his nomination in the Senate Judiciary Committee after the Republican Party took control of the Senate in 2002, used a filibuster to prevent his nomination from being given a final confirmation vote by the full Senate.

Wikipedia got this right.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miguel_Estrada

Estrada is no woman, I know, but where's the BIG difference?

The other Rice is nothing but a house N word and an aunt Jemima. According to the left that is.
