Well...I'm about to get evicted.
Haven't been paid in six weeks. We had a huge job fall through at the last minute that would have got my dad's company back in black, at least for a bit. Losing that job will likely mean we'll have to shut down the business as well.
Now, unless I come up with 1225 bucks by Friday afternoon, I will have one month to leave.
Guess it's just a different sort of opportunity, I am not particularly fond of what the Keys has to offer anyway.
And no, I'm not asking for money. I will not accept any offers of such.
Just needed to vent.
Probably won't be online much starting real soon either, so it was nice getting to know all of you, and I will be back, posting music no one likes before you know it!
I'll check in when I can.
PEACE!

How can this be? I thought 0bama's policies fixed all this.

but the property manager has been on my side for the last year or so.
This has been a long time coming. Getting paid less and less often, and new profitable jobs disappearing...
The owner ain't gonna give a damn, he's got other tenants in other states to worry about.
*edit*
As a company, we've been struggling for the past 2 years after a former employer embezzled about 60k from us, we are STILL paying off the debts she ran up.
I thought companies had unlimited resources and were greedy for trying to make money in the first place.

7. Thanks
But there aren't a lot of jobs in the Keys right now.
Tourism is practically non-existant, and this is tourist season.
I ain't giving up just yet though.
Still got time to get paid and pay my rent. I'll still be broke as hell, lol...but I'll have a roof over my head. For another month anyway.
I would think that with record low unemployment of 7.8% that jobs would be everywhere.

Don't feel sorry for the DUche but I bet it's father did not vote for 0bama and has lots of sweat and money in his business socialist economic illiteracy has killed.
Millions of sane people had bet the last two years of pay checks to keep their businesses open in the HOPE that the presidency would CHANGE. This is just the beginning of what is going to be very bad economic times. Well at least we now have the FED buying $40 billion a month in mortgages and $45 billion a month in treasuries so inflation should be tame.
OWN it!

Well gees. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm............................

Yeah, hanging out in the Keys with a bunch of moneybag snowbirds. Tough life, dude.

So, a primitive can't survive in The Keys, while knee-deep in wealthy ultra-liberals - I'd suggest there are two possible problems;
A ) ObamEconomy isn't as 'totes-awesome' as you thought.
B ) You.
C ) All of the above.

totes-awesome
I gotta BS you for that one. (http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff68/kayaktn/smileys/sick0022.gif)

I thought the Keys had pretty much been taken over by the pole smokers and the pole cave dwellers? Don't they usually have loads of dough?
Maybe the DUmbass could get a job giving pedicures to the Hemingway cats.

Yeah.
Before I got married, I use to go diving in Key West every year between Christmas and New Years. If you were heterosexual, you had your choice of women.

Heh :-)
Well - I figured he is still living with his dad, so I could only assume he is some high-school kid. I was addressing the primitive in its native language.
At least he wasn't talking about 'goggies'

Yeah.

Now lesbians have their choice of women. :-)

He should have gone to the DUmmies' "jobs" forum. They have all kinds of good advice on scamming the system. If you're working less than 32 hours a week at a full-time job (40 hours), you are eligible for unemployment. Of course with Obamacare redefining "unemployment" and so many people being out of work or under-employed over the last four glorious years, I would be curious to know if that has changed.
Of course, he should have submitted a claim six weeks ago...he'd be getting a check by now. At this point, he's not going to get squat.

I doubt many DUmpmonkeys will see a 40-hour week when 0bamacare kicks in.
We'll see lots of these eviction sob stories once DUmmy hours are cut by 25%, and a few of them will even be true.

Dear DUmmie,
Trade ya. I'm already more than halfway through my first tank of oil and it's still two weeks until Christmas. January and February can be a mother****er on the oil tank.
-
For over 20 years, I spent Christmas and New Years in the keys. My son has never seen them so I was entertaining the idea of taking him for Christmas.....Nope, don't want to help the blue people out with my red dollars.

Same here Sparky, we have two big propain tanks and they seem to be running out of fuel Like a well that someone forgot to turn the water off.
Fortunately we did get into this gas company plan a few years ago and send them a set amount all year long.
Some how the company adjusts the price to what ever the day price is and if you send them $300 a month in the warm months and the price of gas goes down, one is credited for the shift in price.
We got an accounting last month that said we had a credit of $900, I being a sceptic called the company to confirm the mail from them. Funny how this works, I still have to send in $300 a month but when a real bad time hits at least we have the credits to fall back on.
Or do we, if the company goes bankrupt where are our credits and over payments ?????
Life is not easy for simple men and woman that have no choice but to trust others for the necessities of life.

I just turn up the thermostat -- electric central heat, ya'know. The last bill I paid was $166.00.
Having never lived in the 19th century northeastern USA, I have no idea what you folks go through nor, why you live there.
-
Why do things seem to be going really bad for libs?
is it that bad for people with conservative leanings?

I was doing OK until I started paying my bills and then many essential bills for others that cannot pay. My house is like our nation's house -- the situation is unsustainable.

It's the union jobs that pay janitors 30.00 per hour.

Goin' to Detroit, Michigan
Girl, I can't take you
Hey, I'm goin' to Detroit, Michigan
Girl, you got to stay here behind
Goin' to get me a job
On the Cadillac assembly line
I'm tired of whoopin' and hollerin'
Up and down the Mississippi road
Hey, I'm tired of whoopin' and hollerin'
Pickin' that nasty cotton
Gonna catch me a bus up North
I won't have to keep sayin' yes, sir, boss
Goin' to Detroit, Michigan
Girl, I can't take you
Hey, I'm goin' to Detroit, Michigan
Girl, you got to stay here behind
Goin' to get me a job
On the Cadillac assembly line
Well, girl, if you'll be alright
And keep your blue jeans zipped up tight
When I make my first check
I'll put you on the Delta jet, hey hey
I'm gonna send for you, darlin'
Won't you come on hom

Had to put this here. :rotf:
A Republican, in a wheelchair, entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the waitress for a cup of coffee.
The Republican looked across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?"
The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.
The next patron to come in was a Libertarian, with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced
across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus, over there?"
The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."
The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches.
He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there honey!
How's about getting me a cold mug of Miller Light?" He too looked across the restaurant and asked, "Isn't that God's boy over there?"
The waitress nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a cold beer.
"On my bill," he said loudly.
As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed."
The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door.
Jesus passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening up and he raised his hands, praised the Lord,
and did a series of back flips out the door.
Then, Jesus walked towards the Democrat, just smiling. The Democrat jumped up and yelled,
"Don't touch me .... I'm on disability."
