WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – Now that Republicans have conceded two of their most cherished economic ideals, the path is open for them to reach a deal with President Barack Obama to avoid going over the so-called fiscal cliff in early January.

Note: Let me make a comment here on Keynesian Economics. Since the article mentions it... Does anyone who mentions Keynesian Economics even know who John Maynard Keynes was? Both Republicans and Democrats go by his theory. Which was

1) More Government Spending

2) Cut taxes

or

3) Both

President Bush did a Keynesian method when he gave everyone an extra $600.00 check the one year and lowered the tax rates. Obama does a Keynesian method when wants to spend more.

John Maynard Keynes was a down the middle economist who's ideas are blown way out of proportion to only suit the needs of the of the person mentioning them..

Good grief..

And someone mentioned that Keynes would never have advocated for the demonization of business.

$800B is exactly what Hussein asked for the first time around, and during the campaign. He got it. Rep. John "Chamberlain" Boehner will now appear on TV waving a piece of paper saying he got an agreement in exchange for some promises.

Fiscal cliff? The Republicans caused it. No fiscal cliff? The Republicans delayed negotiating too long. Either way, Boehner threw Republicans over the political cliff.

It's past time to start thinking about a draft movement for 2016. Anybody for Gov. Scott Walker, Gov. Rick Snyder or Rep. Allan West? Any others with some backbone?

I'm not really sure who I want, yet. I do know that whoever it is will have to go against either Hillary Clinton, or Crazy Joe Biden ...

Yes, I know who John Maynard Keynes is. I disagree with his General Theory, on the principle that government intervention (i.e., increased spending in excess of revenue) is harmful in the long term (for one reason, because the money is never paid back).

I prefer von Hayek and the Chicago School.
