OMG! This is redonkulous! She tried to run over deputy and got shot. Her family says "She didn't deserve to die, she was a mother". Did he deserve to be run over? Plus! she had already pleaded guilty of stealing from Walmart before and was banned from the stores. This is all on her and I hope those shoplifted items were worth it. I bet her family sues. Amazing how these idiots act.

read the comments, there are idiots everywhere! No one cares about the police officers life being potentially cut short :argh:
-
It's too bad she didn't value her life enough to not put it in harms way then if they are so sad. Sorry family of this woman but ill value her as much as she apparently values herself and the police officer she attempted to run down. Letting her lead by example.
-
Family: She wasn't taking anything worth killing for!
Society: She wasn't taking anything worth dying for, until she tried to run over the cop.
Sympathy FAIL.

"She was a perfect daughter and mother....."......uh?...... Say what?

"She was a perfect daughter and mother....."......uh?...... Say what?
True. The problem was she was a lousy shoplifter. Shoplifting once lead her before a judge. Now shoplifting has lead her to her grave. Some folks should stick with their strengths.

In a society acculturated for thievery and callous disregard for the rights of others...
yes
ETA -- I look forward to the comments from DU.

Interesting how the grandmother was lamenting on how was she going to take care of her grandchildren. I was like, their father? Though I was surprised that CPS didn't get involved the first time, she got caught.

Sammy Dodd, or PeterS (the resident DU sleeper at conservativeunderground) should have something succinct to say about this.
-
Attempting to run down a cop usually nets to at least one bullet to the face if not more. Sorry no sympathy for her.
-
She got what she deserved.
it's always refreshing when crime doesn't pay. And, get a clue, idiot family, no one is perfect leastwise a shoplifter and wouldbe murderer. :sosad:

I believe the correct term is "baby daddy".

Yeah he weave and color looks like she was hurting so bad she needed To thieve for it. Another greedy obamaite gone, no doubt one less on the taxpayer burden roles, and no longer around to pollute a further generation. Good riddance.

1. this is crazy....
What is Walmart doing with ARMED guards, for ****'s sake? Summary execution for stealing low value property? I thought that sort of thing went out of fashion after the dark age.

4. Well, when you sell everything needed for shake-and-bake meth...
your security just might run into some hard cases.
That said, **** Wal-Mart.
Goddam Wal-mart for selling antihistamines!

2. Apparently she (the driver) tried to run him over.

Details. Details.
Hard to say what one would do in that situation. Sad and tragic for sure.
edit: to clarify who I meant by "she"

9. ...said the sheriff's office.
If she'd been shot by union thugs she would have been an agent provocateur who provoked it.

8. that's his story....
She was not driving, if I recall correctly-- someone else was-- and the driver's actions were also consistent with simply trying to escape. In any event, the off duty cop only needed to release her door and step out of the way to avoid being "run over."

6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but....
I'd always heard it was illegal to use deadly force solely in defense of property. Hopefully the guard and Wal-Mart doesn't get away with this.

7. So we are worse than Saudi Arabia.
Over there, they cut off your hand if you're caught stealing. Here, apparently the penalty is death.
USA! USA! USA!
In SA she wouldn't be out of the house, let alone dressed like she appeared from one of David Bowie's LSD falshbacks.

Well, you know that everything a DUmmie owns is "low value". Soooooo, there you have it, an open invitation to walk in, look around and take anything you happen to want from a DUmmie....no problem...no gun play....no resistance.

DUmbasses themselves are low-value.
Doubt me?
How much would you pay me to NOT hurt one?

That drag queen looks like a reject from the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

Well its always fun to see mike_c taking the side of some dirtbag thief . She/He/It wasn't shot for stealing you waste of skin ,they were shot for attempting to run over a cop. And please tell everyone again when you passed the Bar exam or went to a law enforcement academy to know just when it is OK to shoot someone trying to run you over.

Okay. You're wrong. Come into my house and find out. Hell, you don't even have to do that. Coming onto my property is justification enough.
And you're especially wrong because she was trying to run down a cop. It stopped being a property crime at that point and he was facing a deadly force threat, and was perfectly justified in responding with deadly force.
