My guy (ex) whatever was released from the hospital with 9 scripts
7 are $4 at WalMart.....is it bad to go there? He no longer has insurance, unfortunately. I hate WM, but $4 each is hard to beat.1
this is the same woman that complained about a month ago her ex had left her with twenty dollars and a stack of bills:

The worst part is that he is being mean.
He dumped me but I spent 5 nites in the hospital with him, have shopped for him, did his laundry, spoke to his family n friends at length, paid his rent n will be cooking for him....
I'm trying to be "normal", but it's tough.
:rotf:
DUmmy "left street" is skeptical again:

47. I think you're trying to make liberals look bad
Which, unfortunately, doesn't always take much
I don't believe your story. I don't believe anyone would hesitate to fill 'scripts for a loved one without first signing online to debate the dilemma of proper liberal-approved consumer choices when faced with cheap prices at that icky-yucky working class open market called WalMart vs a designer-green-union-like-minded unicorn store
'Liberals' are despised enough without this crap
but DUmmy "DonRedwood" gives Amy the green light:

23. Hey blueamy
I can't quite hug you from here but I can sure tell you need one.
Go to Walmart--every penny needs to stretch right now and there is no shame in taking care of your family and loved ones.
It is kind of you to help him through this last part of his life and that good energy you are giving him is what he will take with him when he goes.
Do not stress about these little things. Save your strength for the tough stuff.
My best to you and big hugs from far away.

WTF? Seriously, someone is ill and the DUmmy goes online to see if it is permissible to use Walmart's pharmacy! And the DUmmies wonder why we reject them and their ideology. :lmao:

After he dumped her, she:
1. Spent 5 nights in the hospital with him;
2. bought Cheetos and Dr. Pepper for him;
3. washed his poo-poo undies;
4. "spoke to his family and friends at length" (is that some kind of chore?);
5. paid his rent (WTF?);
6. will be cooking for him (Cheeto soup in Dr. Pepper broth, his favorite!).
What in the hell is wrong with her*?
*Assuming DUmmy blue amy numbers is a "she". It's an assertion without evidence, I know.

Low self esteem would be the classic answer but I would bet he helps her shoot up ,cause she can't handle the needle all by herself. (co dependency and how some of these people find each other would be a whole PHD thesis). I wonder which episode of Cops they were featured on. :rotf:

93. Is this the gentleman whose ex-wife you took to court to lower her child support?
View profile
Is this the gentleman you so vigorously defended in your Mother's Day thread of 2011, when you questioned why he should have to pay his child support arrears?
I note that I posted on that thread---

I truly hope this gentleman has paid up his arrears, and I hope that he does his best to be a good example to his child during this difficult time.
Nothing like a good shit-stirring.

6. I despise Wal-Mart with the heat of a thousand white-hot suns.
But I'm grateful for their $4 medications. Target and Fred Meyer have them, too. As often as possible for my patients without insurance, I prescribe meds available on the $4 program. And I never, ever, prescribe brand-name meds. Generics only, because **** the greedy pharmaceutical companies, that's why...

17. People with intolerances to medication
additives ( eg. corn, wheat, soy, eggs) sometimes need to take the brand because that's the only one that is reliably tracked and usually has some degree of customer service. So if you're never, ever prescribing brand name drugs, you may be a veterinarian or not serving your food intolerant patients well.

58. Did you intend to insult veterinarians or was it just an accident??
marybourg (1,806 posts)
128. No, I just meant if you're a veterinarian your patients wouldn't
be in a position to tell you they feel funny when they they take certain meds.
Tree-Hugger (283 posts)
134. They can't verbally communicate
But there are other ways we can tell they are not feeling well or they are having a reaction to treatment. It's because we are not able to "speak" to them that those of us in veterinary medicine (I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician, not a Veterinarian) are exceptionally in tune with every other sign that tells us when our patients are unwell. Human doctors could stand to learn quite a lot from us....
Tree-Hugger (283 posts)
72. Pardon...
but those of us in veterinary medicine take allergies quite seriously. We often choose between different brands and generics due to the additives in the medications. Veterinary medicine is REAL medicine, FYI.

Generic medication for seizures are never Rx'd by competent pediatric neurologists. They are dangerous.

I'm trying to figure out where this primitive has been because since 2001, when the site bubbled up from the ocean floor, the island's inhabitants have been requesting other primitives advise them on whether or not doing a certain act was acceptable or begging forgiveness for stepping beyond the defined parameters.

Low self esteem would be the classic answer
"Low self esteem" is an invention of ghetto liberals to excuse immoral or illegal behavior.
It does not exist in the real world.

I'm not a really big fan of WalMart myself but because I don't have much disposeable income I occasionally spend a bit of money there.
Usually at the pharmacy for generic drugs or on aisle 6 where they have those plastic singing bass.
Those things used to frighten me but I conquered my fear and have been saving up for the one that sings jingle-bell-rock.
-
Let's see, a man I dated for years slaps me upside the head, leaves me with no money, no electricity, no mortgage payment, I have to beg, borrow and whatever to live, put the house up for sale, cried for days like a wounded animal yet I run around getting him medication and waiting on him hand and foot like a
STUPID FOOL. You idiot moonbat skank. Walmart is the least of your worries. :loser:

I find about 80% of Medicaid patients demanding "brand name only." :-)
Higher street value? :fuelfire:

Wow you are either lying or need to be turned into the state medical (or whatever) board. Certain medications like thyroid meds should really never be played with. I would always take the name brand so I didn't have to worry about the pharmacy changing suppliers and my medication being all screwed up. Not to mention that you are denying your patients medications that are still owned by the company that came up with them that could help. That is malpractice in my book as well as the fact that you refuse to support those who are coming up with life saving medication. How do you think that happens? You must have failed basic pharmacology.

Dummies hate those American jobs that BIG PHARMA creates! R & D is expensive. They seem to forget that in order for a drug to be available as a generic it first must be INVENTED by BIG PHARM..... :lmao:
Naturally, when a popular medication like Plavix becomes available in generic, which offeres a lower insurance copay, the insurnace mandates generic unless the doctor writes DAW on the Rx or the patient requests brand name only.
It really does not matter what the doctor writes, if the patient wants "brand name only" and their insurance will pay for it, or they are willing to pay cash the patient can request "brand only."
