Chris Matthews wondered aloud tonight – on national television – why “the Romney folks feel that this is their country to rule.” (They do?) He posited an answer: Republicans, said Matthews, rally behind the thinking of the Founding Fathers. That’s bad, because they believed in a “ruling class” that consists of “white men of property.”

"people of property without regard to race, color, creed or naturally-occurring gender" is my preference.

How about only those who actually pay taxes get a vote?

Thanks to the 0bama economy lots of people no longer own property but are still decent folks.

I could get behind the idea of "you receive public assistance because you don't have a job, you don't get to vote". Kinda like Mom and Dad don't give the kids a say in how the house is run.
