A solution to this Texas Secessionist thing
I think I’ve got a solution to this Texas Secessionist thing I’ve been hearing about. Yes, yes, please tell us.

I get the point that you guys don’t really want to be a part of the United States anymore and so I got this idea that I believe solves a whole bunch of problems all at once.

How ‘bout we sell you folks back to Mexico? For the same exact price the US paid, right?  :-)

Now hold on, hold on. Hear me out. Why? You already made a fool of yourself.

Consider all the advantages to this plan.

One, you’re not going to be a part of the United States anymore and I know that’s a big issue on your minds. I’m not going to go into all the reason’s why you feel this way but basically you want out and this is a way for you to be out.

Two, I think we can get a pretty good price for you guys. After all, you’re always talking about how great and special Texas is and the fact that you’ve got such a great economy. And Mexico has always wanted you. In fact, you used to be part of Mexico (remember the Alamo?). And plus, (and this has got to make you happy) the money we get will go a long way towards paying down the Federal Deficit that many of you seem so worried about.

So here we go, we’re going to sell you guys back to Mexico and, oh – one other big advantage. You know that Mexican border immigration situation that you’ve had such a problem with? Well it just disappears, because once this deal goes through, you’ll all be Mexicans.

So there you have it, a simple Free Market solution where everybody gets what they want.

And you thought Liberals were dumb. We appreciate you just proving it.  :lmao:
I'd be willing to bet most of you non-Texans already know what's so funny about that post.

6. Oil in that ointment
Mexico don't want them either. The border fence would surround Texas.
:banghead: Idiot.

9. Nope...

Also you know why Tejas became the Republica de Tejas and then Texas? Why Mexico would say no? A bunch of traitors. I love history. And it is far more complex than the myth...and the treason happened on both side, FYI. I mean the actual, it meets the definition and everything. Lets just say the myth does not match the reality.

Also you have a few thousand idiots...you want to kick a state out cause a racist white minority is throwing a tanter tantrum What's a "tanter? and speaking well, treason? Really? Unbelievable ignorance.

I mean the n***r won, that's te way they talk in private. Again, you lie. They are dangerous, but you do not encourage them.
Um, gNads, it's a white majority, and they are not racists, you filthy racist.
GNads, deary, please read up on some Texas history. Google it, Wiki it, whatever you want.  You seriously need an education on the subject.

It gets even FUnnier.

10. So, you think there is realistic chance
that Texas will actually get behind this perfectly reasonable idea? Tempting, except the sell part just wouldn't work very well. DUmbass.

It's obvious that Nadin didn't nadin the history of the mexican rule of Texas. Between the Spanish rule and the American control, mexicans controlled Texas for a grand total of 15 years.

There was no sale of Texas, ever. However, unlike every other state, the Republic of Texas did make a binding contract with the USA that it has a way out of the union.

Once again, there is no one, anywhere, fluent in any language, who can decipher what the crazy bald dwarf is trying to say in this DOTY-worthy post.

Sometimes I suspect she does it on purpose, but no, she's too arrogant for that. She thinks it makes sense.

1991 me and buddy went down to Texas to look at land. As we got off the Avis bus to our car I said, "Can't drink and drive in Texas anymore now?" The shuttle driver said "Yeah, but we all do it anyway." and laughed.  First liquor store we could find we stopped and got a case of Lone Star....and drank and drove. Just to fit in.

Another weird fact about that trip was that Town Car we got had a defective speedo. Now matter how fast we went, the car would never go over 52 MPH. The trip to South Padre took about four hours from North Padre. The white line in the middle of the freeway was solid at whatever speed we were hurtling down it at.

Actually the Texas Open Container law came in to being Sept. 1, 2001. Lone Star beer is definitely a tourist beer  :cheersmate:

14. Why I sad early on

Lets put it to a vote. These votes require 80% + voter participation to be valid, with clear majorities. Under those conditions I will be shocked if we reach a 20% of the vote for secession.

Early on I even suggested that a UN supervised vote, like Chekoslovakia, was a way to shut this whole thing down. The problem is these people are vocal, and if you think fox viewers live in a bubble, that is nothing.
:whatever:

Sure, sell it back to Mexico.  Two minutes later they can secede by force from it, and two or three weeks later the Mexican government will be suing for peace on Texan terms.

I was thinking the same thing.

Sell Texas to Mexico, and within a week, Texas would have taken over Mexico, and most of the US Southeast.

When we say "The South Will Rise Again", we ain't just whistling Dixie!  :whistling:   :lmao:

Hey, Nadin!  Nadin this, "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God."

I'll even give you another one to look up, "Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”

How many regulations and laws has the federal government created?  No one knows, and that is because people like you, Nadin, want any one who produces anthing to hand it over for free.
