Thousands Of LAX Workers Set For Walkout On Thanksgiving Eve
http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2012/11/16/thousands-of-lax-workers-set-for-walkout-on-thanksgiving-eve/
More unions threatening to walk out on Thanksgiving Eve. Anyone who walks out should be fired and replaced with non-unions.

This is something Reagan would do (again). What makes you think Dear Leader looks even the least bit Reagan-esque?
-
Terminate union members? In California? :lmao:
They're contractors, the fix is to terminate the contract...which is actually what they want, to punish their employer, figuring that the successor contractor will have to take them on in order to resume service as quickly as possible. In a just world, they'd be in for a rude awakening on that one, but between the unions, the State gubmint Dept. of Labor pukes, and the NLRB, the successor wouldn't be able to get away with just blackballing the rat-bastards that struck.

They should be thankful they have a job. What a bunch of limp noodles!

Agree 100% Thursday is Thanksgiving. I'm not union, and I don't plan on being union EVER if I can help it. Where will I be on Thanksgiving? WORKING!! And working proudly, might I add. Hell, while I'm working, I may just check out FNC on the big TV to find out what's going on out there in loony land with the walkokuts as I stock stuff up, and pas the TV.
Know what I'm missing because of work? My family get together. Am I going to bitch, and moan about it, DUmbshits? No. I'm going to suit up, and go to hell to work. Again...proudly. For a disabled guy like me, I'm LUCKY to be working, and happy to be working. I don't ride every avenue of the govt gravy train as many of you union idiots will, and have aspired to do probably for a while.
Eff all of you. I wish you unionista thugs ill. I wish you all fired the minute you walk into work the next day.

Some Walmart workers have already walked and more are supposed to on Black Friday.

Well said. Do I agree that stores should open on Thanksgiving for Black Friday. No. Tt takes away Thanksgiving and meaning of Christmas.
Those employees should not walk out and should be fired. They should be thankful in tough times.

Some times I don't stop to think. I was like "Thanksgiving, they're waiting until next year?" and then it hit me. :p

I'm taking this Thanksgiving off, because it might be last chance to do so for quite some time. Nurses work holidays, and I would much rather have Christmas off than Thanksgiving. Since I'm still a student and I don't get any pay, let alone holiday pay, the nurse that I'm doing my senior residency with encouraged me to take the day off. Next year I will likely be joining the Thanksgiving worker's party.

Run them over with a truck.

Dear union hacks.
Do it, faggots. I'm beggin ya. See how much sympathy you get when people trying to see their loved ones over the holidays are told they can't because you're acting like a bunch of petulant children.

Look on the bright side: California DUmmies can't get back to fly over country to ruin family meals.

That's a pretty large bright side. In fact, I really can't see a down side to this, except that we haven't built the wall around Kalifunny yet.

You don't even have to go to that length. Just build the walls around LA and SF and the rest of the state will be GTG.

On the plane from Baltimore to Chicago last Friday, I sat next to a Navy O-6. Crusty old bastard who drank gin and tonics.
His first comment to me was, "I ****ing live to pay taxes." Turns out he lives in the SF area. I asked him why he lives there among the moonbats and he just shrugged and said, "Hell, they're like dog turds on the street. After awhile, you get used to stepping around them."
I had the sense he was not too happy about the criminal in the WH either. Called him a sonofabitch in a fairly loud tone (it may have been the gin).
He advocated a return to the draft. I expressed my misgivings to that idea, which he politely heard. Then he said, "**** that. Sonsabitches need to get a dog in this fight."
While unassing the plane, I shook his hand and told him it was a pleasure (which it was).
I'd much rather talk to a Navy O-6 than some punkass moonbat hippie from Commiefornia. :-)

I'm working on Thanksgiving....not once but twice. And since I'm part time, no holiday pay.
Wed night 8pm to 4am on Thanksgiving morning. Then I go back at 8pm until 4am on Friday morning.
In between I will try to get some sleep and also cook Thanksgiving dinner.
Unlike union workers, I'm glad to have a job....or rather a second job. :(
-
Hi5, Deb. And even though I'm part time, I think I'm actually getting the holiday pay on Thur. :yahoo:

I would have to include SAC into that list though. That seems to be where the crazy infestation has settled deepest.

That's where the more egregious crimes are committed.
The legislature should all be jailed -- every damned one of them. And the governor -- Jerry Brown and his last 3 predecessors -- need to be put in solitary confinement for sheer stupidity.

True. I think it shows how ungrateful these people are in these tough times.

Let them shut down LAX. Please. Let them do it to "get public support" for their cause(s).

Happy Thanksgiving: Unions Shut Down Traffic to LAX
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/20/Thanksgiving-LAX-shutdown-union
Ready to fly out of Los Angeles today to get to your family before Thanksgiving? Not so fast. Los Angeles’ labor unions have decided to protest on Thanksgiving Eve – one of the busiest travel days of the year – to snarl traffic around Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). President Obama’s favorite union, the Service Employees International Union, is spearheading the obnoxious effort; it’s supposed to last from 11 a.m to 4 p.m., virtually the entire day. The LAPD says that travellers should arrive 90 minutes earlier than usual. LAX already advises people to arrive two hours in advance.

While the objectives of most strikes are to inconvenience the company they have a grievance with, these seiu turds are trying to inconvenience the traveling public. Many of the strikers will be bussed in and don't even have a dog in the hunt other than they like to be a pain in the public's collective ass. I'm hoping the traveling public doesn't show any sympathy for these idiots and turns more people off to the idea of unions and their childish tactics.

What would a striker blocking the take off of a 747 look like after he/she was sucked through one of the engines?....well done hamburger?.....Mississippi delta dust?

The same is true of the people protesting at Walmart. Sure it might hurt Walmart's bottom line, but it won't help with people's impressions of unions any.

This is for those crying about having to work the holidays.
Be very careful if you don't work, if a family member has a stroke or your child falls out of a tree and the Union is on strike , no Ambulance. Drive them your self to the ER to find the Nurses union is on strike. The Union for the hospital workers food department goes on strike, who is to feed the patients ???
You need pain medication Stat because the dog ate your pills and the drug stores are closed due to workers that demand time with their family's.
Your neighbor sets their house on fire deep fat frying a turkey, but most of the fire department is on leave or strike and the cinders are blowing your way.
You see how it is, Liberals expect others to gladly give up time to be with their family's but expect others to do so for their benefit. Power goes out, few think of the lines men working in a snow storm away from their family's so other can get power.
I cannot begin to count the birthdays, Christmases and new years that my kids missed without their father or me around. We just postponed everything and had the Hollidays in July. Yes one year we kept the tree up for months waiting for Daddy to come home.
I get outside myself when I hear someone crying about their working conditions, YOU made the choice of where to work, knew the salary and benefits if any, be you working in a coal mine or at a 24 hour service station.
Priorties here, you demanding things from your employer and walking out, or seeing there is food and a roof over the kids heads for the next year ??????

If Barry had any balls left, he'd fire every damned one of those asshats, just like Ronaldus Maximus did back when presidents had balls.
Oh, wait.....

From what I'm hearing on the news, SEIU is protesting at LAX because the workers there voted to decertify the union. Their beef isn't with the company but with the former union members that wanted out of the union.

The logic escapes me. SEIU has a problem with former union members that wanted out of the union, so they're going to disrupt the entire f'en airport and the passengers just trying to get somewhere?
Does that make sense to you?

That is correct. I heard an interview this morning with the regional VP of Aviation Safeguards. He verified that the workforce overwhelmingly decertified the union and it is seiu members who do not work for AVSG who are protesting. He said his company offered employees time off to participate in the protest and only 3 asked to be able to attend.
